DIALOGAKUTEN: Möt grupperna ○ ○ ● ○

THE NATIONAL BLACK THEATRE OF SWEDEN (NBTS) är ett teaterkompani som lyfter fram och främjar berättelser med rötter i den afrikanska diasporan. I sitt arbete förenar de samtida scenkonst med kulturarv, internationella samarbeten och nya konstnärliga röster, med särskilt fokus på att skapa möjligheter och inspiration för unga. Genom sina produktioner och samarbeten strävar efter att lyfta fram betydelsefulla berättelser som speglar den rika mångfalden i svarta erfarenheter och som resonerar över generationer, och skapar broar mellan olika kulturer, röster, traditioner och konstnärliga uttryck.

Bland NBTS tidigare produktioner finns bland annat den sydafrikanska klassikern ”Woza Albert!” – som fick skandinavisk premiär på Kulturhuset Stadsteatern, samt ”Bergets topp” av Katori Hall och ”Den omättliga vägen” (The Famished Road) av Ben Okri, dramatiserad av Oladipo Agboluaje, som bägge gjordes i ett samarbete med Dramaten. NBTS grundades 2018 på initiativ av regissören och skådespelaren Josette Bushell-Mingo.

I Dialogakuten sätter de upp ”Mikaela och Tara” av Guled Salad Ali, i regi av Ruben Karsberg. Medverkar gör skådespelarna Kayo Shekoni och Ariam ”Laliam” Sahle.

NORDISKA GÄSTER is a temporary collective of performing artists from the Nordics. In Dialogakuten, they stage ”Formødrer” by Aviana Steinbacher, directed by Charissa Martinkauppi and featuring Amalie Bergholdt and Aviana Steinbacher.
