Next up: Az**el, the demonic entity from The Sandman series ⏳

One of the highlights of this project was bringing the amorphous demon Az**el to life. This was a huge creative and technical challenge that required us to craft a creature that felt both physical and tangible, while also serving as a window into an endless universe filled with damned souls.

ILP delivered Ronja’s complex VFX sequences and assets, including this villainous creature and her terrifying sisters. Our work on Vildvittra even earned us a VES Award for Outstanding Character! 🏆

Bringing the Vittras to life was some of our most challenging VFX work, made possible through close collaboration with the on-set production team and our efficient, specialised CFX techniques.

You can watch the full breakdown of our work on our website https://www.ilpvfx.com/work/ronja-robber's-daughter

It’s officially spooky season! 👻 And what better way to get into the spirit than by revisiting some of our favourite creature work from over the years!

First up: Vildvittra, the fearsome Queen Harpy from Ronja, the Robber’s Daughter.

As the main vendor on the show, ILP created the castle Mattisborgen as well as the lush forests surrounding it and it's mythical creatures - the Vittras.

Stay tuned as we dig up more creatures from the ILP archives this spooky season… 🎃
