Joakim Eneroth | 'Equilibrium'
26.3 — 9.5 2026

Joakim Eneroth's first solo exhibition at Berg Gallery brings together painting, sculpture, and lens-based works, reflecting the artist's ongoing exploration across mediums. The exhibition centers on themes of ecological restoration and healing, while reimagining the environmental impact of consumer society. The sun is a recurring motif—as the primary source of all life on Earth, it can be understood as a force that establishes balance and equilibrium.

We are very pleased to announce the representation of artist Mats Bergquist. Following his well-received solo exhibition at the gallery in 2025, we look forward to presenting new works by Bergquist at Art Brussels this year.

Mats Bergquist works in the borderland between minimalism and icon tradition. His meditative works are stripped of figurative content, but reveal subtle dents, bulges, and impressions. The working process is highly time-consuming and repetitive, relying on traditional materials and methods.

Bergquist (b. 1960) was born in Stockholm but grew up in Russia, Poland, and France. He has spent most of his career abroad, exhibiting at museums and galleries primarily in Italy and Germany. Previous solo exhibitions include Galerie Nanna Preußners, Hamburg (2025, 2022, 2016, 2012), Wichtendahl Galerie, Berlin (2023, 2021, 2019), Konstakademien, Stockholm (2022), Marignana Arte, Venice (2018), and MANN – Museo Archeologico Nazionale Napoli, Naples (2016).

We are very pleased to announce the representation of artist Ivar Lövheim. Following his critically acclaimed solo exhibition at the gallery and a strong international reception at Art Brussels 2025, we look forward to presenting his work again at the fair this April.

Ivar Lövheim's textured paintings, mimicing the surfaces of moss-covered rocks, suggest fragments that have been detached from the landscape. His use of beeswax, sand and pigments creates a tactile experience that invites viewers to contemplate the microcosms of nature.

Born in Skellefteå in 1983, Lövheim holds an MFA from the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm (2014–2019). Previous solo and group exhibition venues include Galleri Hammarén, Gothenburg (2025, 2023), Molekyl Gallery, Malmö (2022), Varbergs Konsthall, Varberg (2021), GIBCA – Gothenburg International Biennial for Contemporary Art (2019), and Nevven Gallery, Gothenburg (2019, 2017).

Carl Richard Söderström | 'Birds of Yore'
19.2 — 21.3 2026

In his third solo exhibition at Berg Gallery, Söderström enters a more figurative realm than before. The gallery space is filled with birds, fragments of nature, and organic forms that, in Söderström’s hands, are transformed into mythical beings. The exhibition title refers to Edgar Allan Poe’s poem ”The Raven” (1845), in which the raven becomes a symbol of transience, loss, grief, and the persistent presence of the past.
