OPENING THIS SATURDAY - SALONG # 2
Welcome to the opening of Salong # 2 this Saturday, from 14 (2pm) until late. Salong # 2 is Swedens largest photographic salon and Studio Tabacs third group show, which is based on an open call we had earlier in the spring.
This time, 71 artists will showcase their experimental, personal, and distinctive works at Studio Tabac. With in total 84 works, our small gallery space will once again transform itself into a playful installation – an artwork in itself.
Salong # 2 features a diverse range of contemporary international photography – from ghostly, desolate landscapes to intimate portraits, playful still lifes of beer and hotdogs, yummy bread-on-butt, bittersweet bench-kissing and candy-colored objects in ornate frames.
Through tender, daring, and thoughtful works, Salong # 2 celebrates the power of photography today – offering a glimpse into where the medium stands, and where it might be heading next.
