Irina Johansson is a Sweden based artist who was born in Ukraine. She developed her skills in Sand Animation including Sand Paintings and Canvas Prints, and gradually included water elements following the Ebru-tradition.

For Under Construction Irina exhibits 5 art pieces that explore Tranebergsbron from different temporalities and perspectives.

Tre Liljor is a youth house located on Norrmalm, where young people can chill with friends, potter with different materials, play PS4, Wii and much more. "We like to dance and we usually try new things". During the last semester Tre Liljor has experimented with paint and printing their artwork on clothes.

In this exhibition Simon, Ayaz, Amanda, Tim, Jennifer and Daniella have contributed with their art.

Tre Liljor been part of our adventure from the beginning, joining us under Tranebergsbron for karaoké. Thank you Tre Liljor!!

Rui do Rosário Ribeiro is a graphic designer and illustrator living and working in Stockholm. His artwork usually revolves around the topic of landscape as a deeply transformative element with its very own personal narrative.

For Rui, Under construction, like landscapes, is something mutable, ever-evolving and capable of creating profound visual changes. Announcing positive or negative transformations, they can also be sources of anxiety. For Under Construction, Rui presented 5 art pieces.

Rui also created our beautiful logo and visual identity. A thousand thank you Rui!

Ran Duan is an artist, architect, and lighting designer, specialised in printmaking and traditional painting.

For Under Construction, Ran has explored the theme of “readiness”: the state of being ready for all kinds of outcomes. It could be a state of being rigorous, or rather nonchalant, or even indifferent, but it is always willing to face what is about to happen.

Olesia is an illustrator from Russia living in Stockholm. In particular, she likes exploring urban themes. “Sketching while travelling is my way to explore and understand the atmosphere of new destinations, as well as discover and appreciate place where I live now”, she says.

Karen Perez Guzman is a visual communicator, video artist and photographer. She portray contrasts and colourful emotions.

For Under Construction Karen exhibits a piece called “Switching -Origin, Home, Belonging”. Just as Tranebergsbron has witnessed the development of the city, this art piece expresses how we transform the built and ecological environment, but also how it transforms us as well.

Irina is an autistic artist from Västerås. She predominantly works with mixed media and creates textured paintings. Her art is dark, sticky, and without excuses, and stems from her own experience with mental health issues.

For Under Construction, Irina exhibited paintings in this about her mental process during and after being diagnosed with autism. The theme is “constructing a new self” while being constantly reminded of the old self.

The artist hantaube mainly practices the making of headdresses on a budget, and then act as model for her creations. For Hantaube, Under Construction means that nothing is ever really finished to the point of full satisfaction, and this is reflected in her own art as well. The construction process of the headdresses heavily inspire the characters she captures on camera.

Georgios is a photographer based in Kungsholmen that specialises in weddings, portraits and fine-art photography. His photographic style reflects wedding photography a lot, and tends towards cinematographic post-processing as well.

For Under Construction, Georgios submitted a photography taken on a misty day by Norr Mälarstrand in Kungsholmen right before the reconstruction.

Fredrik Ehn is an architect and illiustrator who depicts captions of architectural situations and recognizable characters, usually in forms of portraits. He sees façades as faces. Just like portraits are the meeting between the creator and its subject, in architecture the built and pictures are in symbiose.
For Under Construction, Fredrik exhibits 5 mellow but characteristic portraits of buildings, and of one specific sight.
