In an act of weaving is for weaving enthusiasts, dance artists and anyone who wants to feel in companionship again. a festival that is both close and far away, to keep in touch but also create new paths, a festival to ´hold the thread´ together again. With a series of events both live, outdoors, digital and finally in book format, we redefine closeness, what is public & private, digital & live, centralized & decentralized, alone & together. The festival begins with a choreographic intervention from Rosales in Edsbergs slott on September 3, followed by some program elements from our festival, while we present the entire festival content in the second week of September. It's election year this year. The festival, which ends on election day 11 of september, raises important issues within the framework of both performances, workshops and the final book. Podcasts description

Choreographer Nefeli Oikonomou invites 5 artists from the independent dance field to share experiences and discuss their work. During the years of the pandemic we needed to adapt, expand, transform our artistic practice in many ways. With these podcasts we want to `sense the pulse´ of the dance and art field and recalibrate our practice to meet each other again. Where do we stand today? Come weave with us! In an act of weaving är för väventusiaster, danskonstnärer och alla som vill känna gemenskap igen. en festival som är både nära och långt borta. För att hålla kontakten men också skapa nya vägar, en festival för att ´hålla tråden´ tillsammans igen. Med en serie av evenemang båda live, utomhus, digitalt och i till slt i bokformat, återdefinierar vi närhet, vad är offentligt & privat, digitalt & levande, centraliserat & decentraliserat, ensamt & tillsammans. Hur har relationer och liv förändrats? Kom, väv samman med oss. Festivalen inleds med en koreografisk intervention av Rosales i Edsbergs slott den 3 september, följt av några programinslag från vår festival, samtidigt som vi presenterar hela festivalinnehållet som startar andra veckan av september. Det är valår i år. Festivalen som avslutas på valdagen 11 september lyfter viktiga frågor inom ramen för både föreställningar, workshop och slutlig bok. Beskrivning av Podcasts

Koreografen Nefeli Oikonomou bjuder in fem konstnärer från det fria dansfältet för att dela med sig av sina erfarenheter och diskutera sitt arbete. Under pandemins år behövde vi anpassa, bredda och transformera vår konstnärliga praktik på många sätt. Me and Sebastian (Kass Dance) are extremely happy to have received the grant Konstnärlig förnyelse (artistic renewal) from Kulturbryggan Kulturbryggan for the programme Eftercenter.

We will have the joy to host 10 artists in Sand Dansstudio SAND Dansstudio with the programme that will last for a year.
The project aims to be a platform for alternative and sustainable post-processes in artistic production for dance.

Quote from the grants assessment:
"Actively giving space and time for a choreographer to reflect on their work through various methods and means immediately after the premiere is a new and exciting idea that I have never seen before.”

Jag och Sebastian (Kass Dance) är väldigt glada över att ha fått bidraget Konstnärlig förnyelse från Kulturbryggan för programmet Eftercenter.

Vi är glada att välkomna 10 konstnärer till Sand Dansstudio med ett program som kommer pågå under ett år.
Projektet strävar efter att vara en plattform för alternativa och hållbara efterprocesser inom konstnärlig produktion för dansen.

Riksteatern and Cullberg together with MDT (Moderna Dansteatern i Stockholm), Danscentrum Stockholm and Stockholms konstnärliga högskola (SKH) are publishers for the publication. The institutions have for some time had a dialogue about a publication about dance where different dance artists were given the opportunity to express themselves in writing about their dance

The current government is making it harder for artists to create. Rents are higher, funding is reduced, less art is shown at venues, and fewer artists are sharing less money. We want to resist the push towards individualisation and competition. Us artists at höjden want a space where we share resources and support each other as a thriving community of artists. If we come together we can be a stronger voice.
