Outwal is started from a love for street art. At the age of 12, in 1977 I travelled to USA to visit relatives. I remember being in NY for one day, driving through Manhattan in my uncle's car. Suddenly, a subway train came out on a highline rail, covered in graffiti. I remember seeing the vibrant colors in the sunlight, and the ta
g BLADE screaming at me. I was totally blown away, it was the coolest piece of art I hade ever seen, and I have loved graffiti and street art since that day. I myself (normally) travel a lot, and often when visiting a new city, I try and locate the street art areas. Street art and graffiti to me is art that is spontaneous, alive, thought provoking. Qften made at night, with considerable risks for the artists. Street art is not posing. It is colorful, brash, extreme and entertaining. How can one not love that? Bjorn Gevert, Outwal Founder.
