Greetings doomers and gloomers,

2025 is not very fresh anymore but congratulations to the new number in the calendar. Looking forward to see how much s**t this new year has to offer. Music will, still, probably be one of few things making it worth to leave your bed for.

GIG REPORT

When Green Lung was almost done playing on Saturday I thought ”Why not make this night even longer and feel even s**ttier tomorrow?” and decided that it was the best idea I’ve had for a long time. So I went to a small local craft brewery where YOUNG ACID was going to do their first live gig. It’s a band with members from other known Swedish bands playing rock with lyrics influenced by Astrid Lindgren stories.

I wasn’t surprised at all but the music was excellent live. Seriously groovy alternative garage rock, topped with vocals from the best Swedish rock singer.

GIG REPORT

I haven’t been in the mood for concerts for quite some. Before this night I hadn’t been to any gigs since early August, so I guess it was time to try to enjoy some live music again.

The New York quartet SATAN’S SATYRS opened the night. I saw only like 10-15 minutes of the set but their gritty heavy garage rock sounded great live so should’ve been there earlier.

Another American quartet were next, Unto Others. I like their gothic rock infused heavy metal and they delivered a decent show.

The final band to take the stage was the doomy occult rockers GREEN LUNG from England. They started with ”Forest church”, in my opinion the best song from the latest album This Heathen Land, so the bar was set high. And it remained high throughout the whole gig. Great live band.

All in all a great concert and I did enjoy it. I don’t think I’ll wait another six months before I go the next one.
