Hi friends!
As I realize more and more how far I have to go to become a proficient, self-fulfilling and commercialy viable artist, social media becomes less and less of a priority. Because of this I have decided to use Instagram as the sole place for sharing my work. I might open up my personal account for art sharing and for you to follow later but that's far in the future. I won't remove this page but for now it will go into a hibernation of sorts. In the meanwhile I hope I will see you on instagram!

-Medieval houses
A sketch/study sort of thing of medieval houses. I really love architecture and I think I believe I know it better than I actually do, so time to do some studies. This took surprisingly long, 3.5h. Then again I was way more thorough than usual, wich is always good!

-English cottage study
A little one hour study before bed of a cozy english cottage. Not too happy with the actual result but I really like it because of the time spent and because I've only ever used gouache once before. Adore this medium and seeing what the Watts can do with it I really want to delve into it as one of my main mediums. Now for some sleep, hope you all had a great day!

-One hour study progress
No better feeling than sitting down with freshly sharpened charcoal pencils in the evening and working on a piece at your own pace! Especially after weeks of digital art.
This is a study of a photo I took during my hike this saturday. Tried to focus on controling my values, placing groups of values in intelligent places to aid the composition. Wether I succeeded is another matter entirely. Still a work in progress too so we'll see where it ends up!

Two hour progress of a study of Piotr Jablonski's "The Moth King" wich in turn is inspired by Sergey Kolesov's "Moth king".
This is one of my absolute all time favorite paintings and I could go on and on about why I love it but I think y'all can appreciate it too.
This was supposed to be a value study but kinda branched out to be a bit of color and edge study as well. Starting to think of this study as more of a wake up call and probably will do another pure value study of this later.

-Albjarkars öde (The fate of Albjarkar)
A view over the now deforested, industrialised slope of mount Rauthberg. Despite the villagers warnings against the mining operations, the powerful city of Eirfoss is now setting up a permanent installation near the little village of Albjarkar. The mountain will not stand idly by while humans tear it apart.

One of several thumbnails for my personal project/coursework, I will post the other ones as soon as I have polished them a bit! Also first time I'm including 3D in my workflow, alot of fun and a learning experience for sure!

-Thörns Altarport (Altar gate of Thörn)
Concept for the passage to a religious site, part of the now ruined city-fort Thörn; stronghold of the Hartfolk's ancestors.
This is part of the project-pitch I'm working on, wanted to design what the architecture of this once-great-people could've looked like in its hayday. This is just one of many concepts I created today, more to come soon!

-Ilvättar (Something like: Shrieking Wights)
Creature concepts for a project pitch. This particular sheet is a suggestion for base-level enemies that will throw themselves at you, and depending on how violent the project will end up; grab you and eat you.
Starting this project in combination with resuming another one, made it necessary to put my Colonial Project on the shelf temporarily. Heavily emphasizing temporarily though. I still love that idea and will develop it further when I finish my current projects.

-Town Bell
Ca 2 hour study/illustration. Tried out gouache for the first time, used this to play around with and getting familiar with the medium. So much fun and way more enjoyable and manageable than acrylic! Dries fast but you can reactivate it any time, it behaves a bit weird but still an absolute joy to use!
