Conniebooks

Conniebooks Connie is a little girl who drifts innocently between all worlds and dimensions, noticing the cracks in reality that remain unseen by most of us.

Connie has a very wobbly tooth...

Will it come out before bedtime so the Tooth fairy can come or will it hang on in there, leaving her vulnerable to a visit from the Tooth Troll? A story of excitement ensues as Connie finds herself alone in a strange world where everything isn't always as it seems at a time when Connie is still trying to process the guilt she feels over a lost loved-one. Will she

EVER see her family again? This story explores a range of human emotions and touches on some darkness with the light of positivity always shining through. It is a visual treat with full-page illustrations using a dreamy palette of colours and a look that creates a haunting yet endearing world.

The flashback scene that includes a mix of artwork from the previous book Connie and the Tooth Troll and blended with the newer style within Connie and the Night Faires, is now finished. It’s a lovely dreamy illustration that, despite the grim context, gives a feeling of peace. The night fairy Flora recollects.

Good Friday

Connie loved Easter! A long weekend, chocolate eggs, and Easter bunnies. The feeling of change from the cold, starkness of winter, as buds form on withered branches, and the sun begins to show the promise of brighter days to come.

"Get your Easter Basket, Connie. You've got an egg hunt to do!" Connie's dad hurried her out of the back door, and into the garden.
She scanned the yard from left to right, and ran over to the guinea pig hutch, which had sat unused since poor Peanut had passed away.
"Found one!" She beamed, triumphantly plucking a creme egg from the empty food bowl and holding it up to show her father.

"Help me!"

An unfamiliar voice whispered from within the shadows of the hutch...

Hi all fantastooth backers and supporters!

In 2017 after a successful Kickstarter campaign for Connie's first adventure in Connie and the Tooth Troll, we left you all with a little teaser.

"Connie will return in Connie and the Night Fairies..."

What happened after this? Well to put it simply. We lost our steam. Work, life, and other projects took over and continued work on the Connie series of books lost momentum. However, Connie and her world were always in our hearts, minds and imagination.

But, as the proverb goes, "Good things come to those who wait", and Connie is growing up with you and your children.

In short - We are happy to announce that the production of Connie and the Night Fairies is in full swing.

KICKOFF
To mark the official "restart" for Night Fairies, the Connie Books team had a kickoff in Dunfermline, Scotland, where we raised a glass for past triumphs and forthcoming successes. A kind of "good luck" toast if you will.

We found time to reflect on Connies first book and discuss how Night Fairies fits in as a successor.

We also met with a friend that is now officially the books editor. We will present her in due time.

WHERE ARE WE NOW?
Some progress has already been made with Night Fairies. Actually, a lot of progress. Here's a little list:

🔵 A first complete draft of the story has been sent to our editor

🔵 A rough layout and disposition of pages has been created

🔵 The books cover illustration and design is complete

🔵 Several page spreads with new gorgeous illustrations are completed

🔵 We have planned dates for the book release on Kickstarter - We will get back to you soon with more updates about this.

🔵 We have planned our workload and schedule to get us nicely to our Kickstarter release date

🔵 We are currently discussing our marketing strategy

SO WHAT'S NEXT?
Sit back. relax. We have this under control!
