I/O studios Recording studio! About I/O: This is about us and about you. Are we right for you? We are good at working with world music and jazz.

What we are good at:

We are good at dealing with classical music, chamber music, orchestra and choir, as well as contemporary music and EA music. We are good at working with pop, rock and electronic music. To sum things up, we are good at working with acoustic and electric/electronic sound. Sometimes we do things we don’t know if we are good at;-), so don’t hesitate about asking us if your projec

t seems slightly unusual. How we do it:

We have good knowledge of music in general, experience in recording and the right equipment. We can work in our own facilities, which are suitable for a lot of things, and with a relaxed atmosphere. We also record on location, if required, with our mobile equipment. We provide production and arrangements, we can arrange great musicians for you. We deliver a master recording for you, but we can help you with duplication and internet distribution.

Hej musikervänner och -bekanta, kollegor.

Vi lägger ner vår studioverksamhet på Amiralsgatan 47, Tangopalatset, (Nobeltorget/Folkets Park/Möllan) Malmö! Jakob Gustafsson, Peter Ebbesson och vi har efter noggrant övervägande beslutat att gå vidare med andra projekt i livet efter nästan 10 år i lokalen.

I syndafloden blev lokalen skadad men inte dränkt - den är nu sanerad och på tork. Återuppbyggnaden i huset är på gång.

MEN - innan vi river ner väggar och multikablar tänkte vi kolla runt bland våra vänner och bekanta i musikkretsarna om det kan tänkas finnas någon som är sugen på att ta över? Det är trots allt en i princip färdig studiolokal, men det finns möjligheter till egna justeringar också.

Sägas bör direkt att det finns annan verksamhet i huset - så MYCKET högljudd musik som exempelvis olika typer av hårdrock etc går tyvärr bort. Men vi har för all del lyckats spela in väldigt olika grejer genom åren. Lokalen funkar ju givetvis fint för undervisning eller som replokal också.

Jakob och jag svarar gärna mer ingående på frågor och kan gärna visa runt.

När skyfallet föll över Malmö natten till söndagen så vattenfylldes stadens källare. Och eftersom en stor del av Malmös kulturliv repeterar och utspelar sig...

We have been flooded in our basement studio during this morning's heavy rainfall... We don't know the extent of damages yet but we will most likely have to close down for some time.

Alligator Gumbo SECOND PLACE IN THE NOMINATION “Prix d’ Hors de Nous 2014" by the Cajun French Music Association!

Dear Alligator Gumbo Cajun Band,
Congratulations, you have earned/won the First Runner Up title (second place) of the Prix d’ Hors category of the “Le Cajun” Awards for 2014, with your 2013 recording, “SIMMERIN”. Also, you are the Second Runner Up (third place) winner with your 2012 recording, “LACASSINE SPECIAL”. This category is for bands who reside outside of the local “Cajun Region”, i.e., South Louisiana and Southeast Texas. There were seven entries in the two year period, 2012 & 2013 combined.
CDs that have both placed in our “Prix d’ Hors de Nous” Cajun Music Contest.
