Manifesting a better world was the idea behind the workshop I did for the Nordic Fe:male Invest Summit’s 10th anniversary celebration a month ago (I am bad at updating my instagram)
I got to meet really lovely people from all different walks in life. I get to hear what they want to manifest for the next decade in their personal life and for the world. It was both inspiring and touching 💞🌷

One thing that was extra special for me was that the participants used my test prints for collage, and my typewriter to write letters for their future selves 🙌🏻
No matter how often I hear people say we should adopt a professional persona and avoid personal engagement, I still believe that’s impossible when working with art. Art is inherently personal and it always will be.

A couple of weeks ago, I took Adam to see a “kids’ show” at Barnens scen in Floketspark. I was completely captivated by the music, the lights, and the creativity behind the performance. At one point, they portrayed a battle between good and evil through light and sound in a very mesmerizing and moving way.
Very thankful for Malmö and for the opportunity to experience music and this type of magic easily 💞✨🌌🪐🫀💫☄️🌟🔮

Min allra första cyanotypi! Jag har alltid velat testa den här tekniken och nu är det äntligen dags. Det kändes som att vi skapade magi 😍✨ Men det är inte bara jag som får prova! Nu får även alla i Lorensborg och Bellevuegården chansen.
roli.na.engman kommer nu på torsdag till Gula Gården på Vendelsfridsgatan 10 för att hålla en cyanotypi-workshop under Bellos första gårdsfest för sommaren. Kom och prova cyanotypi med oss! 😊 26/6 kl 17:00-20:00

Thoughts on creativity. Part one:
Creativity isn’t always about painting, drawing, or making something “artsy.”
Sometimes, creativity is about how you help someone learn, how you communicate across different age groups, how you navigate a tough moment with empathy and cleverness. It’s in the way you connect, solve, and support.

Do I miss staying up all night with a brush in one hand and colors all over me? Absolutely. 🎨
But I’ve learned to love being creative in other ways too.
Quite , powerful ways that don’t always leave a canvas behind but leave an impact nonetheless.

Creativity shows up where you choose to bring it.

My incredible friend Palwasha has submitted her thesis and will soon earn her PhD! I couldn’t be prouder of her and all the hard work she’s poured into this journey.

She is a deeply inspiring woman ✨full of both strength and softness, seamlessly carrying tradition and modernity within her.

During a poetry evening, she shared something that moved us all to tears. She is dedicating her thesis to the women and girls of Afghanistan, her homeland, using her education as a way to honor and fight for them in a beautifully subtle way. Her poem is beyond beautiful ✨

I was truly honoured when she asked me to create a sketch to accompany her poem. I made this with her poem in my heart: an Afghan girl, Nazo -named after the great poet and warrior - reading in an open field, the mighty mountains of Afghanistan standing behind her, the wind gently brushing her face and flowing through the fields. And of course, a child running with joy, his kite soaring in the endless sky.
