Want to try Erstwild inside Argo? We have 50 places available!

Hey everyone! We’re preparing to show our Erstwild integration to Brotherwise, and we’d love some fellow TTRPG players and GMs to take a look and tell us how it feels to use.

Curious about the game first? You can learn more on the Plotweaver website and explore the reference materials here. https://www.plotweaverrpg.com/
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/19Jd7Hi643osHy3B-RlzvoiW23QFVaV3O

If you’ve used D&D Beyond or Demiplane, the idea will feel familiar: a digital book connected to your campaigns and characters. During this test, you can:
- Read and explore the book as a digital compendium, with search and bookmarks.
- Add notes to the book for your ideas, reminders, and campaign prep.
- Create a campaign and link Erstwild to it, giving your players access to the setting through your campaign.
- Create and edit characters using the character wizard and editor, whether you access the book through this invite or through a campaign.

We’d love to hear what feels useful, what’s confusing, and what would make it work better for your group. You don’t need to be a tech expert—just curious about TTRPG tools!

This invitation gives you temporary access to test the Erstwild integration. It is separate from Argo’s Early Tester access and does not grant permanent ownership or lifetime access to the book. Access ends when the testing round closes.

There are 50 places in this testing round. Sign in or create a free Argo account to join:

Thanks for helping us put it through its paces!

The Argo Library has its first book!

We got the go-ahead from Meric, Plotweaver Director at Brotherwise Games, to present the Plotweaver Core Rules inside Argo.

That means Plotweaver Open Alpha v0.3 is now available on the Argo Library shelf. It is free to read in your browser with an Argo account.

This is still early, and our shelf currently has one book, but we wanted to start small and get the reader right.

The Library reader includes:

📝 Notes on the page, including notes shared with your table
🔎 Search inside the book, showing the sentence where each match appears
📌 Rules you can keep open beside the page
📚 The full book contents beside you, highlighted where you are
🃏 A card on every rules term
🌙 Text size controls and night paper mode
🔗 Links to specific headings, so you can share a rule directly

We also released DevLog #11, with an overview of where Argo is now and a look at the first book in the Library.

Compared with PDFs, D&D Beyond, and Demiplane, Argo’s Library is much smaller right now, but we are exploring features built around reading, preparing, and playing with your table.

Please try it and tell us what feels good, what feels confusing, and what we should improve next.

DevLog #8 is up 🎥

Combat is on the action map. Watch one turn: a character spends an action gaining Advantage. The Advantage carries into a Strike, best of two dice with the option to spend the Plot Die, and the damage lands on the target without ever opening another window.

Movement costs an action, and your character walks only as far as the weapon's reach needs. There's a GM override too, because underneath all of this it's still pen and paper and the table should always win.

It's a rawer devlog than usual — no script, and we left a live bug in. That's the honest version of what building this looks like.

DevLog #7 is up 🎥

The Ravenlands map is playable. Hex exploration, journeys, Lead the Way, Keep Watch — and gear and talents modifying your dice rolls exactly as the rules say they should.

The part we're proudest of: you don't have to remember any of it. Terrain, season, light, whether you're travelling at night, what's actually in your hands — Argo folds all of it into the roll. The Shield Fighter bonus only appears if there's genuinely a shield in your offhand.

Less time flipping through books. More time playing.

🎲 Argo DevLog #6 is live!

This week, we’re showing new progress on Argo’s RPG platform, including:

✨ Video chat
✨ Session rooms
✨ Dockable UI
✨ Session controls
✨ Recording, transcription, and summaries
✨ Campaign journal updates

We’re building Argo to be more than a virtual tabletop — it’s a full campaign companion for players and Game Masters.

The goal is simple: help every RPG session become easier to run, easier to remember, and easier to turn into organized campaign history.

Weekly Argo update 👋

This week we’re working on bringing campaign lore directly onto the map.

The idea is pretty simple: GMs already prepare a lot of notes, NPCs, locations, factions, quests, rumors, and world details. We want to make those things easier to use during the actual session, right where they matter.

A lot of this direction came from chatting with GMs and listening to what would actually help at the table, not just what sounds cool as a feature.

Here’s DevLog #5 if you want to take a look:
https://youtu.be/6AU1-d55loM

Would love to hear what other GMs think. Would map-based lore be useful in your campaigns? What would make it better?

DevLog #3 is live!

This update shows the dungeon editing work we have been building over the last few weeks. There are still plenty of placeholders, but the foundation is coming together: Rooms, Corridors, spline-based layouts, generated floors, wall placement, and undo/redo support.

It is exciting to see how far the tools have come. Back in March we were experimenting with PCG to place trees around the landscape, and now we have a functional Room Editor for dungeon levels.

Next step: start filling these spaces with doors, torches, tables, props, and all the little details that make a dungeon feel alive.

DevLog #2 is live! 🎉

This time we’re showing the **WorldMap Edit Tools** in Argo — tools for shaping campaign worlds, building regions, editing terrain, adding rivers, and helping Game Masters bring their worlds to life faster.

Argo is still growing, and it’s really exciting to share these steps as the platform comes together.

We’re excited to share the very first Argo Devlog.

In this first episode, we look back at Argo’s first year of development and explore a part of the Forbidden Lands experience that deserves more attention: the map, the journey, and the gameplay mechanics built around travel and exploration.

The video includes early prototypes, footage from the first stages of development, and a closer look at how visuals, rules, UI, and UX come together to support both Game Masters and players.

Let us know what part of Argo you’d like to see next.
