Potentially a new specie? 🐟🇲🇼
This type of Copadichromis is something that I personally haven’t seen before! But I love it! 😍 I caught a few specimen of this yellow Copadichromis at Taiwanee reef in 2024. Unfortunately, only two survived all the way to SMG.
After a close look at them, I hoped it could be one pair, but it was very uncertain. There was one big female and a smaller one who could be a young male or just a female who wasn’t mature yet. But I decided to take them home anyway, to see them develop and hope for the best.
Both of them made it to Sweden even though the female was in very bad condition. After almost two years of love from my side, they have now grown quite a bit (male is 13-15cm and the female is 18-20cm) and have just had their first breeding! 😍🇲🇼🐟💪🏽🙏🏽
I’m really excited to follow them and see how they develop, the male turns dark blue but with some yellow in the fins when he’s in the mood.
