Move the North ist ein internationales Netzwerk und Cross-Border-Festival, bei dem Partner in Deutschland, Dänemark und Schweden als gemeinsames Strategieprojekt zum gegenseitigen Nutzen kooperieren. Die Produktionsfirma für Film, Theater und Kultur wurde im Jahre 2013 von Jana Pulkrabek und Petja Pulkrabek gegründet.

ABOUT THE PLAY
An original multilingual adaptation which springs from and is inspired by the play "Mary Stuart" by Friedrich Schiller; a brand new text-and-movement creation focusing on the lives and haunting destiny of historical figures Mary Stuart Queen of Scots and Queen Elisabeth the First. 👑👑

They were women, they were queens and they were cousins; destined to be enemies from birth, united by power, tossed into a seething political maelstrom, a tale as relevant to today as it is to the past. The play is a mystery-crime-story investigating power and gender from the perspective of what possibilities a Queen has to rule in a man's world.

An exciting MASTERCLASS is coming up in Sweden/Lund 🇸🇪!!!

OBJECT THEATRE & CLOWN. The fourth master class of the season by Mariana Araoz and Theatre In-Balance will be two full days over the weekend JUNE 13th and 14th led by Mariana Araoz (Sw/France) on the In-Balance Method 💫💫💫

Open to all performers, dancers, actors, theatre-makers, musicians, even beginners; using masks, puppetry, object theatre and movement 💃🕺🎭

ABOUT THE METHOD
The ©In-Balance Method is a method Mariana Araoz created throughout her work as a theatre-mask-puppet master, as an actor, writer, director, and pedagogue. Currently taught by Mariana in drama schools all over the world, the Method is based on her 30-plus years of experience in theatre and pedagogy. The focal points of the ©In-Balance Method for an ensemble on stage are: Transmission of knowledge, Service on stage, Balance of power, Collective experience of movement, choreography and creativity - using elements of mask, puppetry, physical and object 👏👏👏

ABOUT MARIANA ARAOZ
Internationally recognised mask/puppetry & object theatre expert, professor of mask at Teaterhögskolan Malmö since 2013. She is the Artistic Director of TMR /Theatre In-Balance in Sweden, and of Maison de l'Equilibre du Genre/Collectif Masque in Paris and divides her time between Sweden and France. Her work is regularly showcased internationally and in Sweden. She teaches her In-Balance Method of physical theatre at drama schools in Sweden, the US, France, Barcelona including at Khio in Oslo, Ecole du Jeu in Paris. Her book is available for purchase. Theatre In-Balance regularly create, produce and tour theatrical performance using Mariana’s In-Balance Method as the foundation and guiding light of all the work on stage. 💃💪

In Paris Theatre In-Balance have been conducting professional theatre training for over ten years. Now we bring the whole programme to Sweden and therefore in 2025 have opened The In-Balance Incubator & Institute in Lund/Malmö. 🎭🇫🇷🇸🇪

THE CLASS ALSO HAS AN INVITED GUEST TEACHER
Specially invited guest Nathalie Drakemyr, Swedish actress with a bilingual French/Finnish background. She is a graduate of the prestigious Michael Chekhov International Academy in Berlin and studied script writing at Kvarnby Folkhögskola for two years. Nathalie is a certified teacher of the Michael Chekhov acting technique and teaches at her own acting studio in Landskrona. Nathalie is recurring, permanent performer and producing member of Teater Punch Landskrona and Dododo Productions Malmö and has previously performed with Playmate Malmö, Theatre In-Balance, Potatopotato, Alla tiders teater and more as well as created and performed for TEDx Landskrona. www.drakemyr.se

A period of wild freedom, yet with a growing sense of uncertainty, as economic crisis and fascism lurked beneath the surface.
