Nothing about Paul is remarkable to him in any way: not his looks, not his intellect and certainly not his name. Out of fear of being forgotten he has decided to take the opposing view to any common opinion. This has lead people to call him many things- vain, a trouble maker, someone with no respect for rules or conventions, even eccentric at times! And even though he would love to be any, or all, of the above he knows all he has really achieved is a few seconds of immortality.

Hej how are you, what are you up to?

I am procrastinating. Studio version. I have to get a commission done by tomorrow but all I want to do is clean out my cupboards, arrange all my colours in neat rows and write beautiful to do lists…

Is it because I’ve had a ridiculous amount of time off since Christmas? (Perk of being self employed is all the time off you can allow yourself! Downside is all the time off you actually do allow yourself…)

Anyway. Gotta get a move on now. Maybe just one last selfie for the road?

Oscar likes to think there’s a certain air of coolness to him but really he is more of the friendly Labrador type. A happy go lucky fella who'll start wagging his tale as soon as anyone throws him a stick. He does know though, being open to the world and carrying his heart on his sleeve, that dogs and hearts are better kept on a leach.

He wakes up every morning knowing he will die and therefore decides to live. He lives a champagne lifestyle on a lemonade budget, taking what he needs, giving nothing but laughs and good looks back. He has perfected his care free aura and covers up any short comings with charm and spirits. Some might suspect it’s a charade but most choose not to ask questions beyond the next glass served on a silver platter.⁠

This is a painting I painted a while back which now hangs in a beautiful little row house in a Swedish coastal town. I love seeing my paintings in other peoples homes! It’s so surreal! Surreal but lovely. 🥰

Would anyone agree she wondered, if she were to say that focusing on being the best version of yourself at all times is dull? That it’s the flaws and the failures that make you likeable. Not how many steps you’ve walked in a day, how well you’ve monitorized your sleep or how few fatty acids you’ve eaten? She looked at the women around her and thought; probably not.
