Archive Talks Series: three public talks this autumn 📂

As part of Artistic Reading of the Archive, we are bringing archive projects from Sweden and beyond into the room with our residents. Three evenings on what happens when a neighbourhood keeps its own history.

The Creative Sessions are here 🛠

At the Culture for Climate Forum on 19 September, the afternoon belongs to doing. Four parallel sessions:

🌿 Exploring Environmental Relationships with Edit Szabó, artist and spatial practitioner.
🌿 The Sharing Economy Lab with Olov Källgarn (Helsingborgs stad) and Mariana Luna Lopez (MSc Climate Change and Society, Lund University).
🌿 Think Sustainably as an Association with Garni Asslanyan.
🌿 Tomato or Not Tomato: A Serious Quiz — with Emil Kragh and Josephine Gosvig from cirka cph (Copenhagen).

The sessions run 13:00–15:00 and flow into a closing circle on local action in Helsingborg.

Artistic Reading of the Archive started today 📂

The first workshop took place at .

Over the next three months we will be working with Söder’s archives, reading the neighbourhood’s history through artistic practice.

The working group brings together three artists in residence, a researcher, an architect and a curator, developing an inquiry-led approach through collaborative workshops.

Att få vara människa: Om konst, förundran och att bara vara ✨

Vad händer när vi stannar upp och verkligen tittar? Kan konst öppna för nya sätt att se på världen och oss själva?

I höst bjuder vi in till två träffar med Ana María Bermeo, konstnär, museolog och meditationslärare.

🗓 Föreläsning på Kulturrummet, 5 oktober, kl. 17:30
Vi utforskar vad som händer när vi ger oss själva tid att möta konst, utan krav på att förstå eller tolka “rätt”. Med exempel, berättelser och enkla övningar pratar vi om närvaro, förundran och vad det kan innebära att bara vara människa.

🗓 Konstvandring på Dunkers Kulturhus, 27 oktober, kl. 17:30
Några veckor senare fortsätter vi tillsammans på en kulturinstitution, där vi får möta konst på nära håll och upptäcka tillsammans. Vi samlas i receptionen kl. 17:25. På tisdagar har Dunkers fri entré, så du behöver ingen biljett.

Ana María är projektledare för Konst och hälsa på Konstfrämjandet Skåne och har över 20 års erfarenhet inom kultursektorn, museer, konstförmedling och pedagogik. I sitt arbete utforskar hon hur konst kan skapa rum för närvaro, förundran, reflektion och existentiell hälsa.

CULTURE FOR CLIMATE FORUM

Coming together for a day of creative explorations for the climate.

How do we talk about climate in ways that actually reach people? After a spring of workshops, labs and conversations in The Green Living Room, we’re gathering artists, experts, local initiatives and curious neighbours for one full day on climate action in everyday life.

Lightning talks, creative sessions, breakfast, lunch and new connections.
