ROBERT HEWITT Graduated from the Royal Ballet School in London, worked as dancer with Norwegian National Ballet and Vienna State Opera Ballet. Since 2004 teaching as a guest with contemporary dance companies throughout Europe and a lecturer in ballet at The Institute for Dance Arts in Austria.

IN CLASS Following a career as a classical ballet dancer and years of experience teaching ballet to contemporary dancers, Robert’s class focuses on working with ease of movement and efficiency, with attention given to healthy placement and alignment. The class also places special emphasis on musicality and expansive, joyous movement in a relaxed, welcoming and encouraging environment!

KYRIE ODA was born in Japan. She has been dancing professionally in ballet, contemporary, and dance theater companies in Japan, U.S., and Europe since 2005. She is also choreographing her own work and is currently based in Gothenburg. www.p-a-x.org

IN CLASS This ballet class offers a creative and explorative approach, with a focus on flow and movement quality. While rooted in classical technique, the class invites dancers from all backgrounds to discover new ways of moving and connecting with their bodies. It supports technical development while encouraging creativity and freedom beyond traditional ballet structures.

Workshop: RIVA Dance Company - World Building
1 September kl, 11:00-12:30, Ärlegården

The workshop is based on the creative process of the upcoming theatre concert Nústalgia (Nowstalgia) by RIVA the Faroese Dance Company and flower-punk / axekiller-pop band AGGRASOPPAR.
The work deals with the longing for the present through the lens of insects and their curious ways of inhabiting the world. The workshop emphasises world building through writing exercises and staging our own bug life.

TEVIN REDVALL is an award-winning freelance dancer, choreographer, battler and dance teacher from Sweden who has participated in productions nationally and internationally. His latest achievements include winning Redbull Dance Your Style🇸🇪, working with Volvo and the World culture Museum. He is now currently producing his own dance theatre performance THE GARDEN that's going to tour throughout Western Götaland in November.

IN CLASS we will be focusing on utilising foundational techniques from Hip Hop/House and how we can utilise them in different concepts to further develop our movement from a Street based point of view. These classes will have an exploring approach.

Open call for two dance artists based in Region Västra Götaland to participate in one of the following international contemporary dance festivals:

– 1 artist for Albania Dance Meeting – Albania, 19-22 nd of October 2026

JANNI GROENWOLD TSCHANZ är sedan 1995 frilansande dansare framför allt inom den nutida/ moderna dansen med brett fokus som rör sig fritt över genrerna. Hon blandar och utvecklar sitt danskonstnärskap med filosofi och andlighet och jobbar vid sidan av dansen som certifierad yogalärare och är studioägare av "Yoga Treats" i Göteborg.

IN CLASS Hitta tillbaka till ditt inre center efter semestern! En fördjupande fascia yogaflow-klass, med fokus på hela kroppen. Denna klass kommer at sätta extra fokus på höfterna och core muskulaturen, vilket hjälper dig att återfå styrka och balans. Sinne, kropp och ande i en harmonisk samklang. För alla (dans) nivåer.

”Är så tacksam för residenset på Konstkollektivet, det nya trägolvet är som en famn.
Jag har fått dansa, tänka och skriva, om vartannat, kring mitt kommande projekt Bum Proof (Brådjupa Dansfestival i augusti) samt labbat och reflekterat kring mitt samarbete med forskaren Vidmina Stasiulyte på Textilhögskolan i Borås om ljudande kostymer. Vidmina Stasiulyte

I pauserna har jag fått lyssna på bäcken, tagit en tur via Kvarnbyn och tittat i en massa zines i luncrummet.

Hoppas på att kunna komma tillbaka till er i en nära framtid.”

JENNY MAJOR is a Copenhagen based versatile dancer/teacher/choreographer. My main goal is to create art that people can relate to and connect through. To build bridges, encourage learning and integrity. In my every day life I am recident choreographer with Metropolis.dk, giving workshops and collaborate with the performance artists in the premacies as well as teaching jazz and contemporary in the community. I’ve been fortunate to give workshops internationally - lately in Mocambique, but also in USA, Argentina, Cuba and Palestine. Born and raised in Sweden I’m very happy to have the opportunity to teach at DCV and DCS.

IN CLASS I try to give the dancers a well rounded workout as well as feeding the artistery and joy of dance. I aim to keep the focus on flow and musicality through a set of choreographed excercises covering technical aspects, stretch and strenght. I want the dancer to leave the class feeling well placed, ready to work, uplifted and seen. I follow a plan but try to also give time to the needs of the particular group on the particular day. The phrase at the end can be in various styles, from musical theatre jazz to lyrical, street or classic. Depending on attendance we can build on the same combination or do different every class.

CONTEMPORARY

ANNA OZERSKAIA is born and raised in St Petersburg (Russia). At the age of 25 I moved away, first to Israel, to work with Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company and then to Sweden. I worked in Skånes Dansteater at first, but for the last 10 years I am dancing in Gothenburg Opera’s Dance Company, collaborating with lots of known choreographers and inspiring artists. While dancing in a big company, my interest was always in creative aspect. I choreograph, guide laboratories and work with movement on and off stage. Through out all my professional experience, I was always engaged pedagogically, sharing my knowledge with grown ups and kids, professionals and amateurs, I gave countless amount of work-shops in many countries for dance festivals, schools, performing arts institutions, theatres and dance companies.

IN CLASS I propose a floor work, phrase based class. Starting with a softening, we focus on listening to the body and loosening it, switching on observing mind. Following phrases are built around some principals, allowing to work with the floor in a safe and organic way, steadily increasing centre and muscle engagement and dynamic.Being inspired by few different methodics, I build my class with lots of attention to the basic principals, softness and efficiency. Giving to it my own creative artistic vision I hope every dancer after my class would get some useful technical tools.
