Nu är Evelina Pettersson klar på Magasinsgatan 25, Göteborg klar. Evelina Pettersson (b.1992) is an artist and craftsperson based in Gothenburg. Her creative practice has taken many forms over the years, evolving through a continuous exploration of materials and techniques. With a background in goldsmithing, decorative painting and gilding, she lets her current work, embraces a free and intuitive process where inspiration forms the creation, and the material itself becomes a guiding force. Through this, she seeks to capture the subtle interplay between control and coincidence.
About the artwork: Who watches you from the doorway – a presence ancient as stone, yet alive as breath? A face that seems to have witnessed everything, and yet still wonders? Perhaps a forgotten deity, or the wind itself taking form for a fleeting moment. Or maybe it’s only our own echo, an essence of humanity shaped by paint and metal. In those furrows lies the weight of centuries, memories etched so deeply they’ve become the lines themselves. And when our own face fade beneath the relentless hands of wind and time – perhaps we too become a memory, an echo, forever lingering in those we leave behind.
