We talk about the difference in beginning with the ”who” or ”where” in the scene, about defying the logic, to jump and justify, about symbolism and mapping, to assume instead of explain, to play the opposite idea, mindfulness and the idea of yes, and. Come and try out improv theatre with two world renowned improv teachers - here in the Island Theatre, Ballinamore!

Improv(e) your life in the best way possible! This workshop will give you the GROUNDBREAKING tools on how to master improv on and off stage and is the perfect Sunday activity!

We’ll work on skills such as making, accepting, and justifying offers; advance & extend in storytelling, making the relationship the focus in simple scenes, as well as failing happily. You’ll learn to look after yourself as well as focus on your scene partner, by exploring what it means to 'be yourself', to 'be kind', and to 'be bold’, in a fun and supportive environment.

No experience is needed!

Today I’m out working with Skills Strategies International. 😊

Our final speaker of the conference will be Glen Hall of just improvise!

Glenn Hall is a highly respected teacher, performer and director in Perth, specialising in improvised theatre, corporate leaders education and actors training, with 30 years of experience. He is the founder of Perth´s successful improv company Just improvise, and lectured in improvisation and theatre at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) for 20 years. Glenn Hall has worked with countless myriad organisations with excellent results and outcomes.
He´s a popular actor and voice artist, involved in hundreds of ads/series over the years. He has appeared on stage with Perth’s major theatre companies, and had his own radio morning show at 720 ABC Perth and hosted one of the critically acclaimed SBS international television programs, Eco House Challenge.
With Glenn Hall´s easy-going manner, his ability to enjoy the moment and his unflappable nature, he entertains, enlightens and engage everyone around him regardless of the situation!

The SSI team can't wait to see Glenn illustrate the art of storytelling. This will be a fun and interactive presentation prepare to be out of your seats!
