「祭り」をテーマとし、「祭り」または「お祝い」のモチーフを含むとともに、「東京」と関連のあるストーリーを募集しています。

OPEN CALL for the next ToCo story anthology

Title: “matsuri”
Theme: Festivals and Celebration in Tokyo
Projected Release: November, 2020

Inviting artists, illustrators, writers, and beyond to submit their visual stories of “Festivals/Celebration in Tokyo.”

We will work together with artists through the submission process, providing you with deadlines and feedback to help make the submission process easier and more fulfilling.

The ultimate submission will be one visual story 2 to 6 pages (1 to 3 spreads), black and white, to be printed in a portrait-oriented A5 book. Stories must follow the theme “matsuri” and include the concept of “festival” or “celebration” as well as be clearly connected to “Tokyo.”

Participation fee including member registration fee is ¥2000 yen and includes 3 copies of the book.

The first deadline is the idea deadline on 4/30. Please send us your story idea(s) by this date. Early is of course fine.

Hello people in Gothenburg! During our residency here we will also cook at BRA10 this week. For the first lucky ones to come we have free comics! Please see info below:

SEPTEMBER 5TH 20.00 HUS 10 AT

We are back! From the dead! And we are super excited to present this special occasion that we are doing in collaboration with GIBCA Extended.
We have four guest artist from our residence program at Konstepidemin in our lineup this evening.
INA, an artist, photographer and filmmaker from Senegal will handling the music. Back in Dakar she is documenting Senegals HipHop scene to create a historical library of hip hop artist (take a look at her instagram account ) Our Brazilian guests Julia Nascimento () and Felipe Kolb Bernardes () love to cook and we are sure they will serve us something that we will never forget (maybe they will bring a few of their comics as well that you can have a peek in wile waiting for the food). Our Iaspis grant holder Juan Pablo Fajardo González (from the artist duo La Silueta) , already delivered big with the awesome poster you can see in this BRA10 event.
Finally our amazing Nina Zetterquist (permanent residence at Konstepidemin) said yes to do the surrounding.
Last but not least, our biggest fan, most faithful guest and one of our favorite artists Klas Eriksson will do the performance this night.
