Här kommer ni hitta allt från handsmidda knivar till svartsmide, läderhantverk, sömnad, samt kanske till och med lite tekning och diverse konst. Smithefix är mitt personliga hantverk och konstnärliga utlopp, som jag nu, efter en lång tid av tystnad, vill dela med mig av till omvärlden. Smithefix Smedja ligger mitt i den lilla byn Stjärnhov, mitt i det natursköna Södermanland, med goda förbindelser med kringliggande städer, däribland Eskilstuna, Södertälje, Nyköping, Katrineholm, Strängnäs, Mariefred och så klart Stockholm. För er som är ute efter knivar och eggverktyg så är jag helt öppen för beställningsarbeten och handel. Wax pieces hollowed out and fitted for this custom sword order. Now it's time for some detail and pattern work.

The pieces will later be split again and used as base models to sand-cast in bronze.
They will then be silver soldered together and re-fitted to the blade.
I've hollowed the intended bronze pieces thoroughly, to keep the weight down as much as I can.

One day, I will have enough means to get myself a proper lost-wax setup, so I can make these things in one piece.

FOR SALE.

Another instalment of "Random Blades", where I take forgotten, half finished side projects from my workshop, finish them and put them up for sale.

These two blades are both laminated san mai (three layer) blades. One from the end piece of another project, and the wider one from a weld-test between two types of rail.

Puukko style Blade. Price 850kr or 85€ plus shipping.
The first knife is a simple through hardened laminate of 15n20 and uhb20C. It has a diamond cross section, in a similar style as many traditional Finnish knives.

Rail Laminate Blade. Price: 850kr or 85€ plus shipping.
The second blade is a wider, slightly convex flatground knife that started out as a weld test to see how old Lancashire rail iron and newer rail (similar to 1080) welded with eachother. It turned out really nice, but the Lancashire is such a high quality wrought iron that it barely shows any activity. However, it made a nice sharp blade with the hard rail steel in the edge!
