Final for Innsbruck. Elevator trim was recalibrated and fine tuned. Works very well now. Smooth take offs and stable approaches.

Poutoi väcktes ur vinterdvala idag.
3 månaders stillestånd på grund av extrem kyla tvingade mig att skjuta upp alla sessioner.
4 timmars fjärrunderhåll och felsökning.
Autopiloten fungerar igen, och RMIs är äntligen pålitliga och mycket precisa.

For over 13 years, I’ve poured not just money, but heart and soul into this dream: keeping the magic of historic aviation alive – not in museums, but in motion for everyone to exeprience.
Many of you have followed the journey of the Caravelle simulator – you've shared the excitement, the setbacks, the first test flights. Now, I’m inviting you to help write the next chapter; The Lufthansa Boeing 707 D-ABOD.

This is more than restoration – it’s a tribute to my parents, who both worked on this very airplane, and to the golden age of aviation.
It’s my way of honoring their legacy – and the spirit of an era that changed the world.

€5,500 have already been raised – thank you so much!
But to turn the cockpit into a fully functional simulator, we still need about twice that amount.
And that’s not even including the new hangar that will protect it for future generations – a cost I’m proudly covering myself.

🇺🇸 Finally, it's done – the RMIs are working perfectly again!
What was the issue? The 12V power supply that feeds the motors (not the electronics) was indeed delivering 12V, but it became unstable under load. That explained the strange symptoms.

It wasn't until I removed it and tested it on the workbench with a different 12V source that I found the real culprit — the power supply I had installed back in 2018.

Now everything is working again, except for a few small details that will be fixed over time.😄
Crazy how replacing the electronics ended up feeling like a complete rebuild… Video is in Salzburg passing SI NDB!

🇸🇪 Äntligen klart – RMI:erna fungerar perfekt igen!
Vad var problemet? 12V-strömförsörjningen som driver motorerna (inte elektroniken) gav visserligen 12V, men blev instabil under belastning. Därför de märkliga symptomen.

Det var först när jag plockade ut den och testade den på arbetsbänken med en annan 12V-källa som jag hittade boven – en nätdel jag installerade 2018.

Nu fungerar allt igen, förutom några smådetaljer som kommer fixas med tiden.
Helt galet – att byta ut elektroniken kändes i efterhand som att bygga om allt från början…

Bench testing all RMIs: Except for a faulty flag, the gauges are functioning perfectly. Investigation into the erratic indications occurring every 5 seconds is ongoing.
