A Marshall 1959 JMP from 1976 which is rebuilt with the Hermansson 5 gain stage circuit. It's an all-tube distortion circuit, with no clipping diodes or transistors. Fully rebuilt preamp section (I install a turret board with circuits for the extra tube), a re-voiced power amp section, a new ground layout for the entire amp, 5W 1 ohm wirewound resistors on the power tube sockets for easy bias measurement, preamp shield for sensitive parts in the preamp to keep the noise floor down, new potentiometers, and some changes to the power supply.
Other features:
• Tightness control
• Punch control
• 3-way preshape switch
• 3-way punch range switch
• 3-way presence range switch
• 3-way bright switch
• 3-way mid boost switch
• 3-way more mids/dark switch
• New ground layout and preamp shields
• Effects loop
Guitar straight into the amp, dry signal into a Malmberg 4x12 cab with old 75Hz 25W Greenbacks and wet signal (tapped out between the head and cab) running into a TC D-two and a HH V800 into another Malmberg 4x12 cab with old 75Hz 25W Greenbacks.
