I visited a friend in town.

I was in for exactly what I’d been longing for…

As I was lowered into an inverted suspension, and as the pressure of the Takate Kote slowly released, the pain suddenly gave way to something completely different. Blood rushed dopwn through my body, and with it came a wave of endorphins that seemed to wash over my mind like a shower of laughter I could not hold back.

In between the many suspensions we would take on over the course of five or six hours, I was laid down to rest and to land, fed with sweet crackers and sips of water.

All it took was a spontaneous trip to a rose which I was pretty much the only one driving on.

2025: I tried to survive as a newly separated, single mother with my very fresh art business as my only source of income, aside from savings. Had I not tried to, then I would have had to quit it all together. It was hard enough as it was juggling solo parenting half time, with mourning the loss of not only a relationship but my whole future as I saw it, and the demands of self-emoloyment in terms of learning the rules. Combining all of that with a part time job just to secure an income would have rendered it impossible.

It just had to float.

Meaning: lifes demands killed my creativity.

I tried my best creating. Most plans got cancelled. Collabs cancelling, kids on sick leave, myself being sick, my motorcycle not working, etc.

This is a video I started working on in March -25, and finished recording last summer. My video creation - which, ironically, is what I would like to do the most, - has been put aside far too often, in favor of other work, just for survival.

But as summer 2026 approaches, something in my life brings me new energy, and I hope that I can channel it into creative pursuits, for real this time - video most of all.

There is plenty more recordings waiting for me to edit them.

And thereafter I have plenty of ideas not yet even filmed.

I came back upstairs from the laundry room. A scent so pleasant and welcoming as rarely before in this apartment hit me. During my visit downstairs my senses had seized the opportunity to be surprised at what I already knew was up there and - now - here I stood in my hallway, keys in hand in a gingham dress, almost teary eyed as a scent apparently full of grief mixed with comfort hit me.

There's something about the sight of all the potted plants being placed on the livingroom table which speaks to me. My mind tries to connect it to childhood memories of my mom cleaning.

I have cleaned this apartment before. I have taken care of my sick kids here a dozen times already. I once made cardamon buns in this home.

But this scent of nostalgia was not as distant as nostalgia usually is. It was merely traced back to a time, -not long ago- when I had not all but forgot how to go all in into the embodiment of myself, like a mother, maiden, crone,.. all at once.

The gingham dress, sleeping angels, homemade buns and plants bunched up on the table. The fuel of my dreams intertwined with my now. This now. This version of my life.

A sliver of time, the life I re-inaugurated my artistry with 19 moons ago vaguely felt in reach of me again.

Out of all the days I have been a mother, today was probably my favourite, my most in tune, my least... stolen. All meanwhile in my inbox lies messages about invitations to the plethora of other things that excitingly encompass "me".

Knowing very well this is but an exception in my new reality, I hurt.

I begin where you might expect me to: Almost innocent.

But soon… confidence replaces softness as fabric falls away and my body becomes the focal point.

Naked, I hold your gaze for a while. Present. Aware. Choosing what comes next.
You restrain my arms and raise them above my head. My stance opens, deliberate and unashamed. Sensations escalate.

In the end, I am bound and seated, wrapped in jute ropes, transformed into something both contained and intensely alive.You play with me, and my expressions shift back and forth. I giggle, a flicker of pain crosses my face, I smile, and on an on it goes.

A slow descent into bliss.

Do I despise cheaply made, expensive "sexy Santa" "sexy nurse" "sexy whatever" costumes and think they're tacky? Yes.

Did I also choose to wear one for a photoshoot? Yes.

Do I actually love how the pictures turned out, especially after editing them with just a touch of a vintage feel to them? Also Yes.
