new thoughts on my Journal - I've had a hard time finding joy in sketching without pressure.
But watercolor has helped me flip that mindset.
In my latest Journal entry, I write about performance anxiety, my love for fineliners, and learning to trust the process.

My Thing with Watercolor Apr 16 Written By Alexander Rosso My relationship with watercolor is a bit of a weird one. I’ve only recently started playing around with it, but I’m really enjoying it. The colors have been in my life for a long time, sure - but I never truly explored what they could do...

Another project from the archives! Last year, I worked a lot with One of the many fun projects was creating illustrations showcasing all the ways to reach Bris.

Here’s a promotional poster that was mainly distributed in schools across Sweden. Parts of these illustrations can also currently be seen on milk cartons.... but more on that, as well as all the new projects with Bris this year, coming soon!

Another post where I completely ignore likes or showcasing my style. It’s all about the feeling and the joy of creating. Here, I just painted a sunny day in Högdalen Centrum using watercolor and colored pencils.

WARNING - long and maybe boring message for some.

I feel so conflicted abou IG… I find it a bit exhausting, but I also see how important it is for my work. At the same time, I want to be more personal, but for some reason, I never have the energy. So, it just ends up being some kind of portfolio, which is sooooooo boring!

The thing is, during all my waking hours, I’m either working or thinking about creativity and making things, I even dream about it when I sleep. And I feel like that should be reflected on my page. I think that’s also why my account has been so quiet lately.

So, I’m going to rethink how I post here.

Right now, outside of work, I’m taking a small art history course on early modernist art in Europe around the turn of the century. I absolutely love it, the discussions are amazing. Imagine getting to be in Paris at that time and feeling those artistic shifts!

Yesterday, I sat down and tried to paint as loosely and imperfectly, with explosive colors, as Matisse did. So here it is, along with the start of me sharing more of my creative everyday life.

Here’s another project from the archives! I think we started working on this concept back in 2023. In some of the city's best spaces in the Slakthusområdet, we developed the concept Afrika a venue with multiple kitchens and influences.
In addition to designing the main logo for the place, I also created several logos for the different kitchens within the restaurant. I also worked with colors that are heavily reflected in the interior design.
Since 2023, they’ve made some ownership changes, which led to tweaks in the original logo and concept. Still seems like a cool spot—definitely worth a visit!

Yesterday was the opening for ”had to be done ” an exhibition featuring a group of artists, including my friends . I had a tiiiiny part in it as had an art project called 50/50, where he started 20 illustrations on 70x100 paper and then invited various artists to finish them. This was my contribution. It was exciting to see that, just an hour after the opening, it had already sold. Huge thanks to for letting me be part of it! If you’re in Stockholm you can check it out this weekend at .se

In the spring, I worked on this honorable task for Bris. I was assigned to produce a craft book for all third graders in Sweden (120,000 copies!). It was especially fun since my son is one of them. In this project, I worked as both an illustrator and a design agency, as I created all the crafts, illustrated/designed, and did the layout for the entire book.
