Dragons are the fiercest creatures of our imaginations, and often the most fun too! At this special summer workshop, we’ll deliver tutorials on drawing some of the many types of dragons from around the world, craft decorated clay dragon eggs and then invite children to write comic strip stories inspired by the dragons they imagine hatching from their eggs.

Children will only need to bring a snack and water bottle. They will take home the work they’ve created.

Small Art of Kindness family concertina book making workshop at the Circle Library, Carshalton.

We talked about small acts of kindness that anyone can do (saying thank you, smiling at someone, sharing a toy, watering a plant, feeding animals…) and then drew and assembled concertina book stories of kindness.

Thanks to all the families involved, all of whom created some lovely books. This workshop was partly inspired by my mum, Julie, who understood the importance of being kind every day and recieved much kindness in return 🙂

Part of the Summer in Sutton programme, supported by and the London Borough of Sutton Neighbourhood Fund, Cultural Services and Public Health.
