بالغ الحزن والأسى، ينعى مهرجان السودان الدولي لأفلام التحريك – آبادماك المخرجة والكاتبة ورسامة الكوميكس الفرنسية–الإيرانية مرجان ساترابي (Marjane Satrapi)، التي رحلت عن عالمنا، تاركةً إرثًا فنيًا وإنسانيًا استثنائيًا سيبقى حاضرًا في ذاكرة السينما العالمية وفنون التحريك.
لم تكن مرجان ساترابي مجرد صانعة أفلام أو مؤلفة روايات مصورة، بل كانت صوتًا فنيًا فريدًا استطاع أن يحوّل التجربة الشخصية إلى خطاب إنساني عالمي. وقد حققت شهرة واسعة من خلال روايتها المصورة الشهيرة Persepolis التي تحولت إلى فيلم تحريك استثنائي حاز جائزة لجنة التحكيم في مهرجان كان السينمائي عام 2007 ورُشّح لجائزة الأوسكار، ليصبح أحد أهم أفلام التحريك في العصر الحديث.
تميزت ساترابي بقدرتها النادرة على دمج فن الكوميكس مع اللغة السينمائية، مقدمة نموذجًا إبداعيًا ساحرًا ألهم أجيالًا من الفنانين وصناع أفلام التحريك حول العالم. وفي أعمال مثل Chicken with Plums و Radioactive واصلت تطوير عالمها البصري الخاص، حيث امتزج السرد الشخصي بالتاريخ والذاكرة والهوية والبحث الدائم عن الحرية.
وكان للثقافة الفارسية حضورٌ عميق في أعمالها، بما تحمله من ثراء أدبي وشعري وروحي، وهو ما منح أفلامها حسًا إنسانيًا وشاعريةً خاصة تجاوزت الحدود والثقافات.

The Sudan International Animation Film Festival – APEDEMAK mourns with deep sadness the passing of the French-Iranian filmmaker, writer, and graphic novelist Marjane Satrapi, whose remarkable artistic and human legacy has left an enduring mark on world cinema and animation.
Marjane Satrapi was far more than a filmmaker or graphic novelist. She was a unique creative voice who transformed personal experience into a universal human narrative. She gained international recognition through her acclaimed graphic novel Persepolis, later adapted into the award-winning animated feature that received the Jury Prize at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and earned an Academy Award nomination.
Satrapi's greatest achievement was perhaps her extraordinary ability to merge the language of comics with cinematic storytelling. Through works such as Persepolis, Chicken with Plums, and Radioactive, she created a distinctive artistic universe where memory, identity, exile, history, and the pursuit of freedom intertwined with elegance and emotional depth.
Persian culture also played a significant role in shaping her artistic vision, enriching her films with a unique poetic and humanistic spirit that resonated with audiences across cultures and continents.
Her passing is a profound loss to world cinema, visual arts, and the animation community. Through her work, she demonstrated that animation is not merely a medium of entertainment, but a powerful artistic language capable of expressing memory, displacement, resistance, and human dignity.
