Hello, everyone!

We are excited to introduce you to our newly created page dedicated to the Tau'ika Festival*. Here's a little background on what it's all about:

The Tau'ika Festival was founded in 2020 in the Solomon Islands by Mr. Kusol Tepuke, the chairman of the Rock Community Trust Board. This festival is more than just a celebration; it’s a movement to reconnect with our rich cultural heritage.

In the Solomon Islands, many, especially the youth, have gradually lost touch with their traditional ways. The name "Tau'ika" comes from an ancient method of catching flying fish. Through this festival, we aim to not only revive this traditional practice but also to educate and inspire the younger generation of Renbel Province. We want to empower them with the knowledge of our ancestors—showing them how our people survived and thrived in the past.

Beyond just reviving old traditions, the Tau'ika Festival is a platform to showcase our unique culture and share our deep-rooted knowledge with the world.
