I Curatorial Forum took place in St. Petersburg, arranged by the North-Western branch of the National Centre for Contemporary Arts (NCCA) ROSIZO in partnership with the Creative Association of Curators TOK . This event, participated by top institutional and independent curators, gallery owners, and art-managers promoted enhancement and development of cultural ties between Russian artists, culture experts and their colleagues from other countries and regions.
Events during the Curatorial Forum were intended for difference audiences: professionals are invited to take part in the Symposium, artists are welcome to join the portfolio review with international curators, whereas Art Weekend and Open Studios are opened for whoever wants to attend.
Symposium was the important part of the I Curatorial forum. Theme of this year was: "Transcending Realities, Overcoming Borders and Creating Structures". Curators and art theorists shared their vision and experience in projects related to political and environmental issues. The symposium became a platform for discussion the potentiality of contemporary curating to resist the shrinking autonomy and the impact of the challenges of our times on contemporary art and cultural processes.

On October 5-6, as a part of the Curatorial Forum the North-Western Branch of the National Centre for Contemporary Arts organized the ART WEEKEND in St. Petersburg.
Leading contemporary art institutions, museums and independent spaces presented special programs, events and pop-up exhibitions accessible for public during the Forum. The Art Weekend demonstrated the diversity of artistic practices and projects and the potential of St. Petersburg art scene to wider local and international audiences.

Program of Art Weekend St Petersburg included the discussions of acclaimed foreign and Russian curators artists and philosophers who elaborated on the topics of artistic self-organization, government and contemporary art relations and curating of art projects in public spaces.

ART MEDIATIONS
On October 5 and 6, 2019, art-mediation took place on different Art Weekend routes. Each art mediator prepared an author's creative tour around the sites. For two days of 48 meditations were held.
Art mediators does not only shares their knowledge and impressions of art but also eagerly listens to the visitor. The mission of the art mediator is to promote dialogue and sharing of knowledge.
OPEN STUDIOS
Open Studios program is an opportunity to visit the studios of St. Petersburg artists meet in person members of the contemporary art scene of St. Petersburg. Each route was planned for 1.5 - 2.5 hours.
38 artists took part in Open Studios.
ART BUS
For comfortable transfer from city center to distant venues we together with our partner AO «Tretiy park» and street artist Maxim Ima launched the Art bus.
On October 6, the artist Lera Lerner made a performance «The Case in the Bus» right in the bus. Passengers sat on mice, clicked on ducks and talked. Lera Lerner is a master of creating a safe space for discussion. Participants talked openly to each other about all sorts of things: personal boundaries, choosing hair color and relationships with others.
Performance implies achieving a therapeutic effect.
