The night may be over, but the story isn’t.

We’ve started editing the footage from our May gathering and will be sharing fragments of it over the coming weeks.

Thank you to everyone who was part of this night.

More soon. 🖤

Our first vinyl release, the various artists compilation Kucha Records 001 (KR001), is out now via One Eye Witness. For a small label built around a “mighty bunch” of producers, this is a real victory: our sound and abstract visual identity now live both online and on carefully curated record shelves.

Identity that marked the new chapter of Kucha Records.

Today we’d like to share a bit of the story behind our new label identity and the first vinyl cover. While we were finishing the audio side of the release, we also dived deep into the redesign and how Kucha Records should look from now on. By a happy coincidence, our friend Polina was working at the design studio Sholotch at that time. We told the team about the idea of creating visuals for a vinyl label, and they immediately got excited about the project.

Together with Borya we discussed how we imagined the cover and what kind of mood it should transmit. After a while he came back with the first drafts that already felt like something special. Step by step we refined all the details and in the end we arrived at a flexible template for future covers, plus a logo that really reflects the spirit of the label. We want to say a huge thank you to the whole Sholotch team — they are truly great, and we’re happy that our identity was born together with them.

A special thanks to Alexander for the presentation video.

Today, before we continue the story of our reincarnation and the path leading up to it, we have some good news to share. The vinyl pre‑order has just launched on One Eye Witness . You can place your order both via the distributor’s website and on deejay.de, all links are available in our bio. We would like to express our huge gratitude to everyone involved in bringing this record to life! 🙌🏻

While the team was still searching for a distributor and polishing the design, the compilation itself was slowly taking shape. It was always meant to capture a sense of rebirth, from death to a new beginning, a restless soul drifting through confusion and finally finding peace again.

We decided the record had to feel like one continuous story. Start with ambient and end with ambient. First you face death, then memories and the other side, then turmoil, and finally a return to calm in a new, more complete form.

The lineup is serious: AHHK , Caitlyn Kasha .kasha , Greenwald .green32 , Solid Angle . Each of them became a perfect piece of this journey, adding their own fragment to the overall state.

Once the musical part finally locked in, there was one last battle left, finishing the visual world and deciding how all of this should look when you hold the record in your hands.
