Некоммерческая организация Международный фонд поддержки культуры «МАСТЕР КЛАСС» (далее фонд «МАСТЕР КЛАСС»), проводит Международный фестиваль искусств «МАСТЕР КЛАСС» ежегодно в Санкт-Петербурге с 1993 года.
Фонд «МАСТЕР КЛАСС» провел десятки выставок и фестивалей, выступил организатором интереснейших культурных акций.
Целью Международного фестиваля искусств «МАСТЕР КЛАСС» является объединение творческих сил, просветительство и пропаганда основ как классического, так и современного искусства, представление культуры Санкт-Петербурга в регионах России и за рубежом, знакомство петербуржцев с мировой культурой.
Благодаря поддержке фонда «МАСТЕР КЛАСС» множество молодых талантливых художников и дизайнеров, литераторов и музыкантов смогли донести свое творчество до петербуржцев и гостей города, стать известными и знаменитыми.
Деятельность фонда «МАСТЕР КЛАСС» стала одним из феноменов культурной жизни Санкт-Петербурга в постсоветское время.
Основной принцип работы фонда «МАСТЕР КЛАСС» выстраивается на связи поколений.
Опытные мастера работают с аудиторией непосредственно, передавая свой опыт и знания не только через теоретические иследования и во время Мастер-классов на практике.
За 24 года существования проекта фонда «МАСТЕР КЛАСС» проведены десятки симпозиумов, просмотров, семинаров, выставок.
Фонд «МАСТЕР КЛАСС» призван искать новые формы и направления в искусстве, сохраняя старые классические традиции.
Основываясь на профессиональной базе Высшей школы, ставит своей целью приобщение подрастающего поколения к изучению мировой культуры, использованию ее лучших достижений для приобретения опыта и практических знаний.
INTERNATIONAL ART FESTIVAL “MASTER CLASS”
The annual Art Festival “MASTER CLASS” has been in existence for 21 years. The Chairman of the project is M.B.Piotrovskv, and S.S.Govorukhin, a well-known film director its curator. The originators and organizers are T.G.Semyonova and A.A.Mamedinov. The festival has accumulated a unique collection of paintings by outstanding contemporary artists. There have been published three album-almanacs on the history of the MASTER CLASS project and an album of children’s paintings “Lace of St.Petersburg".
1993 the First Festival “World Ecology” was held in the Exhibition Hall of the Artists’ Union, with 20 artists participating. The first edition of the “MASTER CLASS” album appeared.
1994 June - Goodwill Games. The MASTER CLASS Festival “The City and a Mysterious Lady” was held as part of the culture programme, with 150 artists participating.
1995 The opening of the Peterhoff fountains after a 7-year-long reconstruction. The theme of the Festival was “The Artist and the Model”; 500 participants.
1996 July - a Month of European Culture. The theme was “The Abduction of Europe”, the venue - the Mikhailovsky Castle; 1500 participants.
1997 The venues: Alexandrinsky Theatre in Ostrovsky Square, the Artists’ Union. The theme was “Dreams and Illusions of St.Petersburg” (L.Gumilyov); participants from 15 countries.
1998 The Russian Museum Centenary. The theme was “A Dialogue of the Centuries - Cazimir Malevich and Andrey Rublev”; 2 000 participants.
The second “ MASTER CLASS” album came out.
1999 A.S.Pushkin’s bicentenary, the theme was suggested by the Russian Academy: “The poet is free in the choice of subjects for his songs, the mob has no right to force his inspiration...” (Pushkin, “The Egyptian Nights” ); participants from 15 countries.
2000 The State Hermitage. The theme was “The Hermitage”. The artists took part in clearing the Winter Palace court, the Gala Entrance. Almaaty, Kazakhstan, “MASTER CLASS in Central Asia”. Moscow, competition “Mexico through the Eyes of Russian Artists”.
2001 March, St.Petersburg, the Manege Central Exhibition Hall. The exhibition “ A World of Reflections” ;
50 000 visitors. 6th June, Art Square, the theme was “My Contemporary”. The artists worked in the city
streets.
2002 June, The Manege Exhibition Hall, the theme was “Baltic Art”; participants from 20 countries
2003 June, the Festival theme was “Children under the Dome of St.Isaac's". An experimental exhibition in Bolshaya Morskaya Street “Art through the Windows” - the street as a huge gallery.
The third album “ MASTER CLASS” came out, dedicated to Saint- Petersburg’s 300 years anniversary.
2004 May, the Alexandrimsky Theatre, an international project “ An Austrian Ball ‘Bon-Bon’”; 2 000 participants.
June, The Ethnography Museum, the theme was “A Lions Procession" an art performance in Nevsky 417 Prospect, the main city avenue.
2005 June, Palace Square, “Live Grass in Palace Square” - an event dedicated to the 60th Anniversary of the Victory, pronounced the best project of 2005.
2006 an event dedicated to academician Likhachev’s centenary. On Palace Square there was planted a linden alley, with quotations from Likhachev’s works attached to the cache-pots.
Yelaguin Island - a Festival titled “Multinational St.Petersburg”.
2007 a Festival dedicated to the 150th anniversary of K.E.Tsiolkovsky lounder of Spaceflight theory. The theme was “International Polar Year”.
January 25th The First Student Ball on St.Tatyana’s Day. Il was held in the Applied Arts Academy Museum.
500 students attended the Ball.
February-March - Launching of the new project “St.Petersburg entrance halls and stair- ways” - the Moika Embankment., 100 A social project “A Gift for My Beloved Mol her”. Children from 20 social institutions, children’s homes, rehabilitation centres painted 100 pictures, which were later published in the album “St. Petersburg - a City of Angels”.
2008 18th March “Guardian Angels” - children painting angels in three cathedral museums: St.Isaac's, Smolny and Redemption Church. The event was meant as a prayer for Russia in the name of love and peace.
June 1st Charity Northern Ball for orphans and military school cadets. The venue - the Ethnography Museum Alexander III Hall.
June 16-20th a youth festival “Street Art”. An outdoor exhibition of works by Industrial Design Academy graduates. A festival of young composers. Graffiti’s on concrete mixers as a means of decorating city art objects. The themes: “Live Water”, “Launching the First Sputnik", “Toler- ance”, “Tartans”, “Ecology”, “Bridges”. June 12th -a performance in Palace Square titled “Declaration of Love to Russia”. People painting pictures on canvases. A collection of 400 spontaneous paintings originated during the festival June 23rd - the final ceremony of awarding the Master title in the Stieglitz Industrial Design Academy.
May 31st “The Miracle of Life” project. The subject of the photo exhibition was pregnant women, newborn babies, fathers and children. Children painted the wooden toys made by people with limited physical abilities. Life is love.
2009 September-October, MASTER CLASS in China, in the Ouan-zhou Museum of the National Library, Shanghai .
418 11th November - a social project “To the Theatre with Mother” The Baltic House Theatre.
2010 May Dedication to the 65th Victory Anniversary — exhibition performances at the Moscow and Leningrad railway stations “Victory Roads”,organized together with the Railways Department.
May Painting sessions at the Tourner Children’s Hospital.
June - MASTER CLASS dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the Smolny Cathedral. Participants from 15 countries were inspired by the “Frozen Symphony of Bartholomew Rastrelli”, and there originated a collection of paintings by modern artists.
June -the “Parisian Letters” project , originated by two academies - Repin Art Academy and Stieglitz Design Academy.

September 14, Palace Square, charity event «The Era of Mercy», dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First World War, Visitation of the August Mother of God and the 250th anniversary of the State Hermitage Museum. At the foot of the Alexander Column, installation of the red canvas «Red Cross - the Symbol of kindness, Compassion and Culture» was represented.

国際文化支援マスタークラス非営利組織(以下マスタークラス)は,1993年以来,サンクトペテルブルクで年に一度開催される国際アートフェスティバルを指揮して参りました。マスタークラス財団は多数の展覧会やフェスティバルを発案し,興味深い文化活動を開催してきました。
国際アートフェスティバル・マスタークラスは創作活動に対する意欲を束ねることを提唱し,古典アートと現代アートの基礎を啓蒙し普及させること,またロシア国内外においてサンクトペテルブルクの文化の紹介や,諸外国の文化をサンクトペテルブルク市民に親しんでもらうことを目的としています。いただいたご支援により,若く才能ある多くの画家やデザイナー,作家,音楽家がいち早くペテルブルクの人々や各地の観衆へ自らの作品を届け,名声を得て著名になっています。
また私たちの活動はソ連解体後の時代においてサンクトペテルブルクの文化的生活のありかたを打ち出したといえるでしょう。
当財団の基本原理は,あらゆる世代をつなぐことにあります。
経験を積んだ芸術家たちが観衆と直にふれあい,自身の経験や知識を理論のみならず実践で表現できるよう支援をします。
24年の間,マスタークラスは多くの国際シンポジウムや概説,セミナーや展覧会を催行してきました。当財団は芸術の新たな形と方向性を探求し,従来の古典的な伝統を守り続ける使命を担っています。
高等教育機関における専門分野の礎の創立や,次世代の諸外国文化研究への従事,経験と実用的知識を最大限に達成することを目標としています。
