Comic Trust has received numerous prestigious awards for their works, among them are:
The Golden Ostap National Humour Prize; St. Petersburg Critic’s Choice for the Best Show of the Season; Best Director in the St. Petersburg Variety Festival; Best Actress at the International Baltic Theatre Festival; Prize “Spirit of the Fringe” of Edinburgh Fringe Festival. And they are the only independent theatre company to be awarded a state prize in St. They have performed with great success in UK, Germany, USA, Poland, Switzerland, Georgia, Finland, The Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Greece, Ireland, France, South Korea, and Denmark. Comic-Trust participated in many international festivals, among them: Edinburgh Fringe Festival (UK), Printemps des Comediens Festival (Montpelier, France), The Imagination Festival (Colorado Springs, USA), Stichting Noorderzon Festival Groningen (The Netherlands), Kleines Fest im Grossen Garten (Hannover, Germany), Badajoz Theatre Festival (Badajoz, Spain), Gioco del Teatro (Turin, Italy), the Fira de Teatre de Tarrega (Spain), Busan International Performing Arts Festival (Korea) and many others. Also of great important to us is the applause we received from Mikhail Baryshnikov and Annie Girardot, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins, Leo Bassi and Slava Polunin. Comic Trust is Russia’s leading theatre comedy group. Our performances are a mixture of pantomime, dance, clownery, puppetry, sketch, parody and black humor, all done with typical Russian sentimentality. They transcend all language barriers in all countries, appealing to adults and children alike. At our performances the audience laughs and cries in a veritable roller coaster of emotions, and no one ever leaves the theatre unaffected.
