This week's Walrus & Carpenter show kicks off with the brand new release from the Sonar Lights entitled Lady of the Winter,

The Honey Pot are off to Switzerland this week to visit the Hadron Collider which prompted me to include their track Hadron Kaleidoscope (from their Mega Dodo set Bewildered Jane).
Acid folkers The Opel archive also feature with a track from their remastered collection The Bough at Jacobs Rake and we'll close out the Show with Blood & Water from Potter's Daughter.

Part 1 of this week's Walrus & Carpenter Show kicks off with a brand new track from The Lonely Goats called Hole, Tiny Fighter bring their latest single Where Are You Now?, Fast Cars - Aussie Maximum Pop Band conjure up the vistas of Australia's New South Wales with Space County (Method Records and Music), Smith & Thell will have us raising a Toast, The Skiffle Players bring Local Boy, The wonderfully outrageous The SoapGirls will sing about a One Way Street and Rusty Boilers will see out Part 1 with Rusty Boilers.

In the final part of this week's Show we'll have Poison from the CRUEL the Rock Opera which is visiting the Troxy Theatre in London on 22nd October, Us and Them perform Roller Coaster, one of their tracks from the new Mega Dodo compilation From a Distant Shore (this also features tracks from Internal Planet who were featured last week, Eve and the Last Waltz and Astor Wolfe), Potter's Daughter will be along with their latest 45 Blood & Water, Merlin will play Metamorphosis, a track from their new album The Mortal, Skylephant will be along with the haunting Home Alone, Sendelica with the title track from their My House is Made of Angel Hair LP and we'll play out with more of that Empire Mind track from the Universal Hippies.

Îmbinare între rock, clasic și muzică religioasă, opera rock “Cruel”, în regia lui Cezar Ghioca, va avea premiera mondială vineri, 7 iunie, de la ora 19.00, la Palatul Culturii din Târgu Mureș. Patru soliști vocali excepționali, acompaniați de orgă clasică, un cvartet de coarde și o trupă rock – spectacolul “Cruel” promite o interpretare grandioasă a unei lucrări fusion cu sunet neașteptat și unic, inspirat de lucrările lui Mozart, Brahms sau Schubert, dar amintind de punk rock, de Nirvana, Dream Theater sau de AD/DC. Parte din suita manifestărilor prilejuite de cea de-a treia ediție a Festivalului Regal de Operă “Virginia Zeani”, spectacolul “Cruel” reunește, într-un proiect experimental, câțiva artiști cu voci excepționale, de la actorul și comediantul Alexandru Arnăutu Vraciu – cunoscut publicului larg în urma aparițiilor impresionante în emisiuni de televiziune precum iUmor, Românii au talent sau Vocea României sau artista de operetă Raluca Stoica – a cărei voce extraordinară, testată în musical, jazz, pop-rock sau canto clasic, a fost aplaudată, la Teatrul de Operetă și Musical „Ion Dacian” din București, în rolul Doica în musicalul „Romeo și Julieta”, în regia lui Kerényi Miklós Gábor, sau în rolul Madame Giry din musicalul „Fantoma de la Operă” de Andrew Lloyd Webber. Urcă pe scenă Andy Ghost, solistul vocal al vestitei formaţii ALTAR din Cluj-Napoca, sau artista heavy metal de origine maghiară Sara Hajdu. Compoziția este semnată de Tibor Molnar, membru al filarmonicii din Târgu Mureș și, totodată, fondator al trupei rock The Harriers. După premiera mondială la Festivalul Regal de Operă “Virginia Zeani”, lucrarea va fi prezentată într-o serie de concerte în Marea Britanie, începând cu spectacolul programat pe 22 octombrie în teatrul londonez Troxy.
