La baza RoBurn stau cele 10 Principii ale Burning Man (cum ar fi Radical Inclusion, Gifting, Decommodification, Radical Self-Reliance, Participation etc.), care ghidează o comunitate temporară bazată pe colaborare și creativitate colectivă. 

Spre deosebire de un festival obișnuit, unde organizatorii angajează artiști și personal pentru a oferi divertisment pasiv, la RoBurn fiecare participant devine co-creator: unii construiesc instalații de artă, alții organizează performanțe, theme camps (tabere tematice), ateliere sau chiar activități simple precum gătit și curățenie. 

Nu există “spectatori” – toată lumea contribuie activ, transformând evenimentul într-o experiență vie, unică și personalizată de comunitate.
