La început se stabilesc detaliile în ceea ce privește realizarea lucrării, modelul dorit și dimensiunea. Se pot face lucrări unicat, compoziții proprii ale artistului în urma unui cost stabilit sau a unui buget alocat pentru această lucrare. Costurile sunt în funcție de suportul folosit, tehnica picturii, dimensiune, compoziție și numărul de personaje. După ce au fost stabilite toate detaliile veți primi o ofertă cu prețul aferent și timpul de realizare.

🎨 The first layers of color are now in place on this large icon of the Mother of God with Christ — part of an ongoing iconostasis project.

At this scale, every line, every transition of color and every detail must be built patiently, layer by layer, following the traditional language of Byzantine iconography.

Still a long journey ahead, but the image is beginning to reveal itself.

Christ the Healer — a unique icon created for a private collection. ☦️

There are wounds no human eye can see.
There is pain no medicine can reach.

And yet, Christ reaches for us.

This small, one-of-a-kind icon reminds us that true healing is not only of the body, but also of the soul — through faith, repentance, love, and the grace of God.

Entirely hand-painted in the Byzantine iconographic tradition, on a solid wooden panel.

Two more handmade Byzantine icons are leaving our workshop today, beginning their journey from Romania to the United States. 🇷🇴➡️🇺🇸

Each icon is painted entirely by hand using traditional egg tempera on carefully prepared linden wood and finished with genuine 23.75k gold leaf. Every stage follows the centuries-old techniques of Byzantine iconography, preserving both the beauty and the spiritual depth of this sacred art.

Every icon begins with a single detail.

Before an icon becomes a complete image, every eye, every fold of the garment, every highlight is studied separately. These exercises help train the hand to paint with precision, but more importantly, they train the eye to truly observe.

This is the kind of practice we do during our iconography workshops in Deva, where students learn the traditional Byzantine technique step by step.
