the industrial grid demands an absolute rigor of data storage. time imposes a cold discipline upon every linear sequence. acid slowly eats the edges of the cells letting the pigment dissolve into nothingness. the text gets lost under the layers of oxidation manually applied in the studio. abstract logic always loses against material entropy.

mechanical rigor accepts no nuances or human hesitations
traces of string press deeply into the layers of fresh paint leaving only the fragility of deformed paper visible
the manual gesture destroys the code to generate an empty space

Digitalul a promis permanentizarea; procesul analogic îi deconspiră fragilitatea.

Cafeaua s-a răcit complet pe marginea mesei de lucru. (Încă o zi în care am uitat de timp, pierdută printre sute de celule din hârtie). Sistemele noastre impecabile se prăbușesc la primul update eșuat.

Imaginea reunește începutul: primele trei obiecte din seria Binary Handbooks. The Binary Handbook of Persistence — codul binar strâns în chingi de sârmă. The Eroded Registry of Failed Updates — o grilă de celule tratată manual cu oxidare și pigment. The Binary Handbook of Erasure — tăcerea fizică a unei gramatici acoperite manual. Am forțat cel mai abstract limbaj să se supună materiei fragile și efortului fizic lent.

The digital promised permanence; the analog process exposes its core fragility.

The coffee grew cold on the edge of the workbench. (Another day I lost track of time, buried among hundreds of paper cells). Our flawless systems collapse with the first failed update....

The image captures the opening: the first three objects from The Binary Handbooks series.
The Binary Handbook of Persistence — binary code bound tightly in wire.
The Eroded Registry of Failed Updates — a grid of cells manually treated with oxidation and pigment.
The Binary Handbook of Erasure — the physical silence of a manually covered grammar. I forced the most abstract language to submit to fragile matter and slow physical labor.

REF EXHB STATUS [Closing tomorrow]

The THREADS+TRACES in Timișoara comes to an end, tomorrow.
What was installed here was never meant as a fixed form, but as a shifting system, fragments of matter negotiating absence, grids holding together what resists being held.

Over its duration, the work has reconfigured itself through space, through gaze, through time. No beginning, no final state; only temporary alignments.

Tomorrow is not a conclusion, just a cutoff point in its visibility.

Thank you to those who entered, stayed, questioned, or resisted.

The work continues elsewhere.
