Perfection is boring. Change my mind. 🤫

Alla prima painting leaves zero room for mistakes. You can't hide anything under dried layers or fix it tomorrow.
Either you catch the magic on the first try, or you scrap the canvas entirely.

I’ve just uploaded a new series of works to the website, all painted in a single session. No overthinking, no touch-ups.

Just wet-on-wet paint and pure, raw energy.
Some people call this style "unfinished."
I call it a way to keep art alive.

The European roller is a rare contrast: a fierce hunter wrapped in electric cyan, ultramarine, and warm cinnamon.

Perched it looks calm, but in flight, it explodes in vibrant color. 🎨🪶

I painted this alla prima in oil, laying down pure, saturated tones straight onto wet paint to keep that wild energy alive.

Roosters don't ask for permission. Neither should your brushwork.

A rooster is pure attitude: arrogant, explosive, and loud.
If you paint one with caution, you’ve already lost. 🎨🐓

I painted this alla prima with zero soft blending and no safety net. Just loaded strokes slashed straight onto wet oil paint.
Hesitate for a second, and you kill the spirit.

Up close, it’s a bit of a controlled disaster.
Step back, and the energy hits you.

7 years apart. Same bird, completely different ex*****on. 🎨

Top: safe brushstrokes, a bit more hesitant, and slightly unrefined.

Bottom: simplified, confident, and stripped down to pure essence.

Proof that progress isn't about adding detail - it's learning how to say more with less.

The worst enemy of a great painting is the artist’s desire to make it pretty.

Every painter knows the exact moment it happens:
The painting is 80% done. It looks decent, safe, and clean.
But deep down, you know it lacks soul.
To make it truly great, you have to risk completely ruining it with a few bold, aggressive strokes.

That’s the real artistic struggle.
It’s not finding the right color or technique; it’s overcoming the fear of destroying something "okay" in pursuit of something remarkable.
Most paintings pass through an ugly, chaotic phase where everything feels like a mistake.
Some artists panic and try to polish the mess.
Experienced artists push right through the chaos until the canvas breaks.

Art isn't created in a peaceful bubble.
It’s a constant battle between fear and conviction. 🎨⚡
