Older than the animals,
Older than the plants, I Am.
When the Earth was still aflame with star-fire, I Was
When the first v***r rose, as the sludge sank, I Was
When the Bones of the Earth were forged, I Was.
I am not the river, I am the bed that cradles her in her courses.
