The barn space at Cetate Arts Danube is hosting a hybrid exhibition of site specific works from the artists-in-residence program, as well as a new selection from the portfolios of several artists who have been part of the residency in previous years. The combination of the old architecture of the 19th century barn and the new breath brought by the contemporary works and interventions made by the invited artists creates an exploratory, immersive and contemplative context.

The selection of artists, who work in different environments and have different visions of their art, is providentially structured by the spatial arrangement of the four rooms into which the barn is divided. The exhibition consists of four enclosures, covering four major themes: the Sculptors’ Summer Studio, The Blue Room, The Elements Room and The Exploratory Room. (Simona Vilau)
