I had a delightful day Sunday April 26 at MNAC Bucharest at the workshop "Artists' books - an introduction". I learned more about books as art objects, the approach of artists books through journaling, limited series and DIY techniques.

My approach of this concept was by challenging the format and apply all sorts of cuts alongside collage, concentrating on visual, composition, colors and the links in between them. Through working with MNAC's tutor materials she provided I even discovered a new visual artists I come to like, Tala Madani.

I had a bunch of fun working lately on a pet commission. Meet Orez! He's a gorgeous yellow-eyed gentleman with an amazingly rich ash coat whose parent .mugur is quite healthily obsessed with Japanese and Chinese culture. I felt much joy working on this subject and receiving well documented background about the parent's likes, colors, other illustrators, and overall interests. The more data I can gather in this first stage of process, the better I'm able to customize the actual artwork 😊

Thank you SO MUCH for being such a loyal customer over the years and commissioning Orez, and for getting me so inspired to also create a happy birthday card that you'll all see soon in around the country. Being a complete Asian fangirl myself in the past it was so easy for me to reconnect with these wonderful cultures! ❤️

As always, don't forget I'm open for commissions for your dear and cute pets, no matter their form or size (cats, dogs, chicken, geese, parrots, guinea pigs, foxes, fishes, cows etc.), and/or visual representational technique! 😊

My birthday present came early this year!! I just received my artist pass for RAD Art Fair 2026!!! I'm beyond excited and happy! I feel exactly the way I felt when I first got accepted at Unfinished, haha! 🥰🫶 Can't wait to have the whole experience and immerse myself in art and nature locations!

RAD (Romanian Art Dealers) Art Fair is at their third edition from 22 to 25 of May at CARO City Resort in Bucharest. This edition brings to the public over 120+ Romanian and international artists represented by 31 galleries of contemporary art.

“FOLLOW YOUR OWN TRUTH” este răspunsul la Open Call-ul lansat de RAD Art Fair 2026 în parteneriat cu Boiler coffee shop pentru curatorierea a 4 artiști sau colective de artiști, pornind de la principiul de coffee cup artwork. Cerința temei lucrării s-a axat pe un motto personal ca artist sau sfat/vorbă de duh, urmată de un vizual care să însoțească lucrarea în sine. Contribuția IDG FORMA la practica de artist a venit sub forma îndemnului:

"REMEMBER!
:in art you need to follow your own truth. everybody else's is already taken"

Un avid cititor, colecționar și pasionat de cărți în format fizic, ca să ajungă la acest credo personal, IDG FORMA s-a inspirat cu drag din publicația curatorului elvețian renumit Hans Ulrich Obrist “100 ARTISTS 100 NOTES” și a Post-it-ului scris de artista Carrie Mae Weems în 2018 “Remember to Dream!”, cât și a îndemnului pictorului britanic Brian Clarke, “To be an artist you have to be prepared to abandon everything you believe when you discover a new truth”.

Doi oameni extrem de valoroși și adevărați, doi mentori, două exemple minunate care ne aduc multă complexitate culturală și perspective de a înțelege lumea în care trăim și a ne încuraja să continuăm să punem întrebări în legătură cu ea. Aștept cu mult drag, încântare și multă curiozitate de învățare turul ghidat de către aceste două personalități contemporane marcante de sâmbătă 4 aprilie de la ora 15:00 la regretatul ARCUB care urmează să fie desființat. Trăim vremuri foarte triste.
