In their ancestral past, the Gassners were among the first bookbinders,
artisans who studied, guarded, and carried forward the refined tradition
of Florentine craftsmanship. The ecclesiastical books, made centuries ago,
were bound in hand-tooled leather covers, sculpted and assembled by the hands of
The Forefathers of the Gassner family. From The High Lands to Transylvania and Bucharest
The Gassners came to The Kingdom of Romania several centuries ago,
first settling in Transylvania, where They had established Workshops for all kinds of Leathercraft,
especially for harnesses and horse accessories. The first Gassner leathercraft workshop that was opened in Bucharest,
was the only one in Romania in those times,
because the other workshops who had earlier been working in Transylvania were closed
when They decided to come to Bucharest. They decided to come to Bucharest,
because their sublime mastery was far too exalted for that region to grasp,
and They were the only Masters in Europe who possessed the Art of The Traditional LeatherCraft at that singular level. This is why, they became the sole suppliers of harnesses and other accessories
for The Royal House of Romania. Travel through Time
Although The Age of The Kingdom of Romania eventually decayed,
the LeatherCraft Traditions of The Gassners endured
even under the new political regime that came to power. Thus, during the 1970s and 1980s, we find them once again
as the sole suppliers of leather creations
for The President's Office and The First Lady's Office,
being the only luxury leather artisans from that period
who still possessed the knowledge of Florentine binding. To this day, a collection of works created by the Gazner family is exhibited at Primăverii Palace. Global BrosNor is the Legacy of The Gassner Lineage's Heritage

Books of Hours and illuminated manuscripts were written, painted, gilded and bound by hand — each page becoming an intimate meeting between knowledge, devotion, ornament and craftsmanship.
Gold did not merely decorate the page. It caught the light, transformed the surface and gave the written word a physical presence almost beyond the ordinary.
Perhaps this is what continues to fascinate us about such objects:

The Tree is one of humanity's oldest and most enduring symbols.
Its roots descend into the hidden world beneath the earth.
Its trunk belongs to the world we inhabit.
Its branches rise towards the sky.
One living form, occupying three realms.
It is perhaps unsurprising, then, that across different cultures and esoteric traditions, the Tree became far more than a symbol of life. It became an image of connection — a bridge between what is below and what is above, between the visible and the invisible, between matter and spirit.
In the Western esoteric tradition, few expressions of this idea are as intricate as the Qabalistic Tree of Life.
Its ten Sephiroth describe not the branches of a botanical tree, but a symbolic architecture of existence: a map through which the relationship between the Divine, Creation and the human experience may be contemplated.

GOLD — THE INCORRUPTIBLE MATTER

Long before it became a language of luxury, gold belonged to the language of the Sacred. Across ancient civilisations, its resistance to corrosion, its extraordinary permanence and its resemblance to the light of the Sun transformed it into something more than a precious metal. It became an image of incorruptibility, immortality and Divine Light.

In Ancient Egypt, gold was associated with the flesh of the Gods and with the solar principle. In sacred and funerary art, its permanence made it a natural material through which eternity could be imagined. Centuries later, gold continued to illuminate sacred objects, icons and manuscripts — not simply as decoration, but as a material capable of suggesting a light that did not belong entirely to the earthly world.

And within Alchemy, gold acquired another meaning: it represented perfection, the culmination of transformation, the purified state towards which imperfect matter aspired. The alchemist's search for gold was therefore never only a search for metal.

Read esoterically, it was also a search for the transformation of the Self:
From the impure to the refined.
From the unfinished to the complete.
From matter towards meaning.

This is the symbolic language in which gold enters the world of Global BrosNor.

We do not use gold merely to make an artefact appear precious; applied by hand upon carved leather, gold follows the traces left by the artisan: a vein, an edge, a symbol, a fragment of relief. It catches light precisely where the hand has transformed matter.

IVY — THE ESOTERIC LANGUAGE OF BINDING

In symbolic language, the meaning of a plant does not reside only in its appearance, it resides in its behaviour: ivy clings. It entwines. It ascends. It remains. Its evergreen nature made it, across different traditions, an image of continuity and enduring life; its extraordinary capacity to bind itself to another form gave it associations with attachment, fidelity and bonds that resist separation. But within an esoteric reading, the image becomes deeper.
What binds does not necessarily imprison. It may also connect.

Earth to sky.
Matter to spirit.
The visible to the invisible.
The transient to the enduring.

Ivy begins close to the earth and climbs towards the light without severing itself from the world below. Read symbolically, its movement becomes almost initiatory: to ascend without denying one's roots; to transform without abandoning one's essence.

Ivy survives by holding on.
