🎬 Romanian Short Films & Talks this Friday 12.12 🫶🏻
Grateful to be able to function, from time to time, as a platform where local filmmakers can screen their work — especially since short films are often hidden gems, with little space in cinemas outside film festivals.
Join us for a unique encounter with the work of experienced and also emerging film-makers 🍷
🎞️ Ceasuri, sentimente și sfârșitul lumii (2025), by Vlad-Niculaie Faranga
As humanity faces the greatest and most meaningful crisis in its history, two vicious and dedicated young capitalists have a different concern: how to save their watch company.
🤼♂️ The Chainman (2025), by Stan & Buzea
“The Chainman” mini-documentary tells, in portrait-like tones, the story of Iorgu Aggressor, one of the most popular wrestlers on the Romanian wrestling scene. Blending Commedia dell’arte influences with a black-metal aesthetic, Iorgu’s Conan-the-Barbarian-like exoticism is as unmistakable as a tank in a cycling race.
🎞️ Nelu (2023), by Oana Bălțatu
The hallways of an apartment block become a labyrinth for Nelu, a middle-aged man who can no longer enter his own home after a heated argument with his wife.
🌫️ Fog (2017), by Adrian Voicu
A middle-aged couple wants to adopt a child. To obtain an evaluation, they must first receive a home visit from a social worker from the adoption center.
🚆 Ultimul drum spre mare (2019), by Adrian Voicu
Six passengers are traveling to the seaside in a train compartment. After a while, a suspicion causes some of them to lose their composure, and the rest of the trip goes terribly wrong.
