I like to remake iconic photographs not to copy them, but to retrace the steps that led to their creation — as if making a portrait of both the photographer and the model. I want to ask what remains of an image when its myth is repeated. The original feeling is restaged, the past is reenacted and redefined,
the whole process becomes a confession of our fascination with icons — of what we choose to emulate and what we dare to change. This repetition does not kill the original, it revives the feeling of standing where another once stood, not as a static relic, but as a living conversation, a tribute, a celebration of photography itself.
