Sorin Romanescu, a veteran of Romanian jazz since the early 1990s, joins forces with emergent pianist, Stefan Stoianovici for this experimental premiere, building a unique relationship through shared improvisation and dialogue. Together, they bridge tradition and modernity in an intimate setting, exploring jazz’s timeless essence with fresh, personal connection.

Sorin Romanescu is one of Romania’s most emblematic contemporary jazz guitarists, blending standards, improvisation, avant-garde, and experimental sounds. Throughout his career, he has performed with musicians from all generations, from pianist Marius Popp and saxophonist Garbis Dedeian to Luiza Zan, Maria Răducanu, Mihai Iordache, Vlad Popescu, Cristian Soleanu, and many others.
Ștefan Stoianovici is a Romanian jazz pianist and composer, active both on the local jazz scene and in contemporary classical and cross‑genre projects. He is primarily known as a bandleader, leading the Ștefan Stoianovici Quartet. His work bridges jazz improvisation, classical forms, and electronic production. He has also written music for theatre and media, as well as pure concert orchestra pieces and jazz arrangements that have been performed by the National Phillarmonic and the Radio Big Band.
