By drawing inspiration from classic and contemporary playwrights, we aim to create transformative theatrical experiences that resonate with modern audiences. **Founding Vision:**
Arttis Theatre was born out of a passion for the raw, unfiltered power of independent theatre. Founded by a group of seasoned actors, who had become disillusioned with the commercial constraints of mainstream theatre, Arttis Theatre seeks to offer a sanctuary for artistic freedom and experimental storytelling.
**Core Values:**
1. **Artistic Freedom:** We champion the creative autonomy of playwrights and directors, encouraging bold and original voices to tell their stories without compromise.
2. **Innovation:** We embrace new technologies and unconventional methods to push the boundaries of traditional theatre, creating immersive and dynamic performances.
3. **Community Engagement:** We strive to make theatre accessible to all, fostering a vibrant community of artists and audiences who are passionate about the performing arts.
4. **Diversity and Inclusion:** We are committed to representing diverse perspectives and ensuring that our productions reflect the richness of human experience.
**Inspiration:**
Arttis Theatre draws inspiration from a wide range of playwrights, from the timeless works of William Shakespeare and Anton Chekhov to the groundbreaking contributions of contemporary writers like Caryl Churchill and Suzan-Lori Parks. By blending the wisdom of the past with the innovation of the present, we create a unique theatrical language that speaks to today’s audiences.
