It's quite unbelievable 2 years have passed since I last updated the studio's Insta account. A lot has happened since then, and yet November 2020 seems as close as yesterday: just before moving countries and becoming a mother, I was happy to organize (together with Vlad & Paul) Alexandra Mîrzac's first picture book launch at Cărturești & Friends.
With an almost-permanent illustration exhibition and a friendly mural painting (buh-bye, Brutus 🐈⬛), Alexandra has been a highly praised long-term bookstore resident at Quinet 9.
Fast forward to today's news:
her second picture book 📘THE FRAGILE WORLD📕 is greeting the world from the bookshop window and that's such a perfect view. I am so proud to know her, and so happy her talent and hard work resulted in such a lovely creation published by Tate Publishing.
My heart will be at the launch tomorrow, from 12 until 6pm. She will be signing books and guiding readers around the exhibition describing her process.
The 📕LOST📕 cat has left the bookshop wall and a new mural artwork will be revealed as well.
It's a gorgeous book, and you know you can trust me on this. Go see it, touch it, get it tomorrow, if you are in Bucharest.
