ARTEXIM, a public institution directly subordinated to the Romanian Ministry of Culture, is a member of several European international federations and associations such as the European Festivals Association (EFA), The International Artist Managers' Association (IAMA), The Association Européenne des Agents Artistiques / European Association of Artist Managers (AEAA), World Federation of Internation

al Music Competition, Alink – Argerich Foundation. ARTEXIM is the institution that organizes the George Enescu International Festival, considered in 2021 the world’s biggest classical music festival. Since 2002, the George Enescu International Competition has been a member of the World Federation of International Music Competition, being the only classical music competition in Romania organized and judged according to the Federation's standards and statutes. The Competition is also part of the Alink - Argerich Foundation - Piano Competition Worldwide. Among its other projects, ARTEXIM can proudly name:
• The cultural management for ITU Plenipotentiary Conference 2022;
• Event cultural management for the Romanian Presidency of the European Council – 2019;
• European Union Orchestra;
• International Composers’ Forum;
• The RadiRo Festival (also known as International Radio Orchestras Festival);
Throughout its activity, ARTEXIM has also supported the participation in international competitions of many young people who later became reference names in the cultural life of Romania, being messengers of Romanian art on the great stages of the world: Ruxandra Donose, Roxana Briban, Iulia Isaev, Marius Brenciu, Ana-Camelia Ștefanescu, Cellia Costea, Alexandru Tomescu, Irina Ionescu, Alexandru Badea, Paul Basacopol, Matei Varga, Stefan Ignat, and others. ARTEXIM organized in collaboration with the Romanian Cultural Institute the auditions for the annual selection of the European Union Youth Orchestra. With a portfolio of more than 800 addresses of music institutions worldwide, ARTEXIM can organize cultural events at the highest standards, coordinate music management projects, facilitate international collaborations among Romanian and foreign institutions, and provide tailor-made consultancy on a broad spectrum of cultural events. ARTEXIM provides artists’ management and tour management services on the national and international territory for musical institutions, orchestras, chamber music ensembles and individual artists.

A new generation takes the stage in Bucharest! Meet the 150 young musicians selected for Round I of the George Enescu International Competition 2026, advancing to the Violin, Cello and Piano rounds. The live competition will take place at the George Enescu Hall of the National University of Music Bucharest.

This year’s 20th anniversary edition sets a historic record for the instrumental sections, with 645 applicants from 55 countries - a powerful sign of the talent, energy and ambition shaping tomorrow’s concert stages.

The George Enescu International Competition Masterclasses create a unique environment where conductors, composers, and performers learn, collaborate, and grow together under the artistic leadership of Maestro Cristian Măcelaru.

🎼 Conductors work directly with the Romanian Youth Orchestra and develop the practical skills required on today's professional podiums.

✍️ Composers receive individual mentorship from Zygmunt Krauze, Sarah Kirkland Snider, and Steven Mackey, culminating in public performances of selected works by Ensemble Couleurs at the Romanian Athenaeum.

🎻 Instrumentalists benefit from intensive artistic training, career guidance, and opportunities to refine their craft with maestro Cristian Măcelaru.

În atenția tinerilor muzicieni, compozitori și dirijori: platforma de înscriere pentru cea de-a XX-a ediție a Concursului Internațional George Enescu este deschisă până la data de 30 iunie 2026 pentru secțiunea de compoziție și sesiunile de masterclass.

Desfășurate sub coordonarea maestrului Cristian Măcelaru, directorul artistic al Festivalului și Concursului Internațional George Enescu, masterclassurile din acest an sunt structurate pe trei direcții, oferind o oportunitate rară de formare profesională și colaborare interdisciplinară:

🎼 Masterclassul de compoziție: Trei tineri compozitori selecționați vor beneficia de mentorat direct din partea renumiților membri ai juriului Zygmunt Krauze, Sarah Kirkland Snider și Steven Mackey, iar lucrările lor vor fi interpretate în primă audiție absolută de un ansamblu profesionist.

🪄 Masterclassul de dirijat: Un program riguros ce oferă tinerilor dirijori ocazia unică de a lucra practic la pupitrul Orchestrei Române de Tineret sub îndrumarea directă a maestrului Cristian Măcelaru.

🎻🎹 Masterclassul de interpretare instrumentală: Sesiuni susținute de maestrul Cristian Măcelaru dedicate tinerilor instrumentiști care doresc să își dezvolte tehnica și abilitățile de interpretare și înțelegere a partiturii.

🖋 Secțiunea de Compoziție: Destinată creatorilor născuți după 1 august 1991, această secțiune oferă o evaluare riguroasă la categoriile Muzică Simfonică și Muzică de Cameră, oferind vizibilitate globală și premii substanțiale.
