O seară dedicată prieteniei, culturii și valorilor comune româno-britanice.
Festivalul Internațional Shakespeare Craiova a avut onoarea de a participa la celebrarea zilei oficiale de naștere a Majestății Sale Regele Charles al III-lea, găzduită de Ambasada Regatului Unit al Marii Britanii și Irlandei de Nord în România. Sub motto-ul „Same but Different”, evenimentul a reunit înalți reprezentanți ai statului român și ai Regatului Unit, membri ai corpului diplomatic, lideri din mediul de afaceri, parteneri și prieteni.
La Reședința Britanică, Caravana Shakespeare a adus în prim-plan frumusețea versurilor shakespeariene prin recitalul „Shakespeare’s Sonnets”, cu Diana Ștefania Petec și Petri Ștefănescu, acompaniați de violonistul Geo Fabian. Teatrul, statuile vivante și prezența personajului Shakespeare au creat o atmosferă magică. Seara s-a extins pe stradă într-o celebrare vibrantă, plină de culoare, completată de survolul aeronavelor britanice și române.
Prin participarea sa, Festivalul a ilustrat universalitatea operei lui Shakespeare și puterea sa de a uni culturi și popoare.

An evening dedicated to friendship, culture and shared Romanian-British values.
The Craiova International Shakespeare Festival had the honour of participating in the celebration of the official birthday of His Majesty King Charles III, hosted by the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Romania. Under the motto “Same but Different”, the event brought together senior representatives of the Romanian state and the United Kingdom, members of the diplomatic corps, business leaders, partners and friends.
At the British Residence, The Shakespeare Caravan highlighted the beauty of Shakespeare’s verses through the recital “Shakespeare’s Sonnets”, with Diana Ștefania Petec and Petri Ștefănescu, accompanied by violinist Geo Fabian. Theatre, living statues and the presence of the Shakespeare character created a magical atmosphere. The evening extended onto the street in a vibrant celebration full of colour and British energy, completed by the flypast of British and Romanian aircraft.
Through its participation, the Festival illustrated the universality of Shakespeare’s work and its power to unite cultures and people.
