What are we celebrating today:

🌌 On June 16, 1995, NASA launched the Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) website, a project that has inspired millions through daily glimpses into the beauty and mystery of the cosmos.

For three decades, APOD has reminded us that the universe is not only something to study, but something to experience — a place filled with patterns, rhythms, and moments of wonder that feel surprisingly familiar to music itself.

Inspired by the spirit of APOD, this week’s visual embraces the beauty of cosmic imagery through a nostalgic, pixelated lens. A star-filled sky, a distant Earth, and the vast darkness surrounding it remind us how small we are — and how connected we can feel through shared experiences.

Just as astronomy turns light into stories, music turns sound into connection.

🌌 On the evenings of June 8 and 9, Venus and Jupiter appear within just 2 degrees of each other in the night sky — a rare and beautiful celestial conjunction. Two brilliant lights, separated by unimaginable distances, seem to meet from our perspective, creating a moment of wonder, alignment, and connection.

Much like a great jam session, where different musicians, influences, and energies briefly converge to create something unique, these cosmic encounters remind us that the most memorable moments happen when paths cross.

Inspired by the June conjunction of Venus and Jupiter, this visual reflects the very idea behind the Echoes logo itself: points of light finding each other across vast spaces.
